So until now I’ve been using the same build I use to clear common raids for my Chaos Dungeons/Cubes, and I don’t have any problem with it (neither with common raids in case you say that my build may suck if that’s the case xD)
Do you think that at a certain high ilvl is necessary to change a build for a more adequate build for this content?
If yes, is it necessary to be 5x3? Or a 4x3 or 3x3 + 1/2 is more than enough? I’m aware it will also depend on the advanced class, but I just want to hear your general thoughts
It depends on your class, 1x3 (Preemtive Strike) is mostly enough to speedrun Chaos Dungeons
Or for example converting the gear set to Betrayal
On my Bard, I’m using the support engravings and just switching my skill set
On my Shadowhunter (Demonic), I just use one build for Raids and Dungeons, because I’m transforming and one-shotting everything anyway
Necessary? I don’t think so.
It depends on if you want to save a some seconds or a minute clearing the Chaos Dungeon, but like I would not pay 50k+ to make a specific build with engravings and all.
For me, just switching out the equipped books and changing skill set is fast enough

+1 for the guy above.
But I mean, I do it with my bard alt. I have a 2nd set with funny engravings that I got from drops and not buying.
Imagine having a fun with an alt that has:
Necromancy
Lightning fury
Premitive strike
Precise dagger /kbw
Class engraving
I see I see… then I think I’ll build something with domination and expertise to join the funny builds gang.
Thanks guys!

Preemptive Strike is key. Lighting fury is fun to have.

I just wear a +3 on both (that I just randomly picked up, nothing purchased) for all my alts.
I won’t bother with Precise Dagger as it actively decreases your damage.
Keen Blunt Weapon’s my third choice for a basic 3x3 Chaos Dungeon (and Cube) build.
Oh and if you have Gear Set Conversion unlocked, switch to Betrayal Instinct as well (just have to set this once).
