Timers not displaying properly

Hey everyone!

Thank you for the reports and sorry for the inconvenience about times being off for grand prix, islands and world bosses. This is due to a Daylight Savings Time feature not working as expected, and we are working on a fix.

We will keep you updated with an ETA on a fix this week.

Any chance to get the in-game clock to display local time instead of fixed CET?

Since it relates to timers and the events follow the CET clock for EUC.

Is this what you’re looking for?

Nope. The in-game clock is off by 1 hour for me due fixed CET timezone for it. Just a quality of life change, sometimes gamers solely utilize the game clock to follow passage of time

Imagine having to fix this in the first place and not having the forethought that daylight savings times exist and not having a solution prepared to change the in-game timers as soon as daylight savings happened in the first place lol.

Always happens with no Western companies whenever they decide to publish anything in EU/NA.

And at this point I’m convinced they will never learn, as none of them have for at least a decade now, lol.

Interesting, I play from Australia and all my timers are fine
Then again the part of Australia I play from doesn’t have daylight savings so

It’s odd because the in game clock is still the correct time for me despite the DST not working.

You don’t have to believe them, but the way the OP phrased it, it sounds more like a bug than they simply forgot to prepare for it.

Correct, this is a bug.

I had to turn DST off in Windows for Lost Ark

please fix asap

I have the quest logged, it shows the spot on my map for the portal and a circled number for the quest location, and I have been there for 3 hours ina row and the portal never appears, is it more than the timer being off or am i missing something? EDIT just got in, 4th times the charm! lol

Yeah im in NZ and mines out my calander says the Grand Prix is on and its the even hour but for me I have to go the odd hours when its saying its still 1 hour away and then its there. Glad to know im not going crazy my guild thought I was crazy when I tried explaining it to them I had to show them screen shots

As someone who worked in the mobile industry back in 2004 and having to patch BlackBerry phones with DST patches every 6 months, I find it very difficult not to be overly rude on how this could even possibly be a problem today.

Lets hope this gets fixed quickly. Also, please stop telling people to disable DST on the local computer… there are problems with this that go beyond Lost Ark.

the problem is DST even existing in 2022.

@Roxx @Shadow_Fox

You guys need to add an ingame scroll announcement for this like Tytalos. Most players in game have no idea.

I agree, DST should have been abolished globally years ago, but since it hasn’t…

Anything you code that runs off a real time clock that isn’t artificial in-game time needs to be corrected to patch for DST. This isn’t new.

An even better solution is LA should run off “Arkadia time” with a generic 24 cycle that is seperate from any local timeszone, allowing for easy schedules in game.

You guys do understand that daylight saving is a very North American concept and that these game devs never really had to worry about it before. I do hope a fix comes sooner than later trying to get things on time without alerts will suck till it does.

No but the publisher should have been fully aware of it considering the office is in California… lol
