To all wardancers players who feel bad

i have abandoned my wd as my main. and now im even thinking if it shd be my priority alt. its just so tough. i mainly play pub and if my entire team gets wrecked in guardians and im the only one left soloing its taking forever because of the low damage. i just hate feeling like im useless. i do way way more with my deathblade. i can kind of unds why, although so many veterans profess that wd is very good endgame and wanted in parties for their buff, majority of them that i see dont select wd at all.

It’s a commitement for sure. You need the right build and gems. Also depending on what engraving you are right now and which tier you are in has a huge impact. Don’t run first intention if you don’t have the mana runes, then your option is esoteric, but with lower stats you can only run one spender ability. Basically you can’t just come out fresh 302 doing what other classes can, but it does get better.

Side note, wardancer isn’t a great alt option. Unless you have the irl funds to boost it to late T3 and buy the correct gems I wouldn’t make it an alt. If you main it though, great pick.

thanks for the advice. i plan to get both her and my db to 1300. then i will decide again. i just wish it wasnt so punishing in the early stages haha

1355 on my wardancer: The more and more and i gear the shorter the gap between me and my zerker friend gets. I see it after every day with % damage, from him doing 62% at 1302-1315 to him now doing 40% at 1355. it gets better, it gets faster, it gets more smooth! On top of this, you are wanted by almost everyone for your buffs, its sadly an underplayed class here in NA. Stick it out, keep playing, it will pay off!

I feel like all martial artist classes need some lovin to get rolling

True, was really frustrated for a while but now the gameplay is faster and more powerful and most importantly, more fun
I’m not even at the good stuff yet, also re-doing my engravings from t1-t2.

Thank you for this post

Anybody who says Wardancer is trash at t1-t2 is just either bad, spams skills without using his brain, doesn’t respect buff windows, keeps getting hit non stop so he can’t dps (or gets cc’d everytime he Wind’s Whispers). is badly built skills-wise, Engravings at t2 is easy to get 3/3.

As you can see i topped the 2nd dmg dealt in Alaric’s 8 man raid. And the only reason the sorc got the mvp is because she was the only t3 (at 1340 if my memory serves).

This was done as an Esoteric Wardancer. 40/60 split into Spec and Swiftness respectively 3/3 Ambus master+Raid Captain. lv1 Esoteric.

So yeah, pleople need to get their sht straight regarding Wardancer pre-t3.

Now, would it be cool, to not care about posiitoning, and fishing so much for the back attacks? Sure.
Would be cool to play the class like sorc, where they don’t care from where are they hitting the boss? Sure.
Does it suck that we have to put a little bit more effort (gameplay wise) to actually outclass those classes? Absolutely,

But that’s not an excuse say the class CAN NOT compete in damage with these classes.
I have a folder full of MVPs pictures, from guardians, to abyss raids…

Yeap trash class indeed , and i only have taijutsu 2 and keen 3

My SORC could oneshot the screen but my WD took forever to kill a simple mob.

Still with engravings, my WARDANCER in t1 had huge problems in challenging solo content because of the low dps.

This is not how to advertise a games classes-_-

Yeah, if you minmax it for lower tiers they can be half decent.

Most players are not used to end game scaling classes. Imagine rolling a WD alt from a sorc or a madness zerker. From little to no investment faceroll, to proper positioning and engravings.

Still WD and Soulfist are my two picks of all available classes, they are just fun to play compared to the ones mentioned above.

Get level3 lightning fury. Its nutty how much dmg it does in t1 and t2, cant say if it works later but the books are cheap.

Basically you get free 100-150k burst every 5-6seconds

As main WD i have mixed feelings.
Yes my damage (i know this will change dramatically in T3) is not on par with any other class, and yes i don’t like that much the back positioning, and yes i am super - close melee.
But the animation, speeding around, style, and most importantly the feel i am contributing with a kit of buffs that is one if not the best in the game, OMG i love this class, i don’t care if i don’t have the same numbers as my sorc, it is so fun to play, everything else is just on background.

Thank you! Really struggling here.

I was main BM on S1 so i cant say to S2, but for infighter… Yes, it’s bad, really really bad.

Not really the damage, but the class itself is too old, it’s like infighter is still on S1, it’s not “fluid”, it’s like there is a latency between every action you do.

There is a latency between your 2 neutral, there is one after each spell, and it makes it too slow.

Slow classes on this game are good, because even if they are slow, they appear fast, fast animation, fast recovery, fast neutral, and it’s always “fluid”.

And it’s a feeling that is here with old classes, i played infighter/SM, the feeling is disgusting, but when i play Demo/Blade, this feeling isnt here, it’s like everything come as a combo, while with Infighter/SM, every action is different, and doesnt go with the previous, and next one.

For exemple, when i play SM, there is a latency and a lack of fluidity between my 3 dash, and my 3 chi balls, it’s like i need to wait for the spell.
Same goes with Infighter, there is a waiting time after each spell, you cant “combo”.

For the BM, it’s not as someone told you before, you cant just hit your keyboard and do damage, there is an order of spell if you want to hit hard.

(If BM are needed on KR, it’s because they litteraly gives good buff to the team, move speed, attack speed, and raw critrate)

And i heard things about rework, i think on KR they want to rework Arcana, then Infighter, then BM.

I picked WD as main, i find it really fun and flashy but the damage is just bad. I’m in the hopes it gets better latter on but so far even in T3 it’s pretty lackluster, I feel like my T2 berserker does more damage and its way eaier to play than my wd.

WD definitely cannot compete with zerks in raw damage, that’s just not happening. however, WD damage is by no means bad- but it does require a certain amount of investment. There is a certain amount of cooldown reduction that is simply required for the class to flow well. Once you hit 1k swiftness and on average level 4 cd gems, it will start to feel nice and you might even see yourself in the MVP screen more than occasionally.

Pretty awesome, but your screen mentioned Battle Item Contributions :). That does count towards damage dealt.

Ma’am were talking about wardancer not scrapper.

Wardancer gets so much better when they get the stats and things in later game. I mean MUCH better. One of the funniest classes at late game.

Its sad. It needs to have those things early game.
