EDIT: Some people misunderstood this post as an plea to get the new Aeromancer in summer to the EU/NA too, this is not the case, we are not rushing to get our hands into Artist or Aeromancer, we need the missing classes that have been YEARS in the game that have gathered already such huge playerbases. We are fine waiting the newer classes, theres no problem in that
I have moved this post from feedback to the general discussion to raise awareness, this looks like a catastrophe to me.
Also i like to mention, im not in anyway bashing amazon games, i love the studios so much, im eternally grateful for bringing the game into our hands in the west, but something that is DETRIMENTAL, CORE, VITAL to the player experience as our missing main classes are, the delayed release without any statement or follow-up whatsoever, is unacceptable. Skins are and should be the ones we are waiting, we shouldnt be waiting for a joyful gaming experience or move to korea or russia where our progress will end up being wasted.
How can this be possible? Zeals, the streamer just translated an statement from korean devs that aeromancer is prepared to be released in korea in summer after monsoon season ends, and we havent even GOTTEN ONE MISSING CLASS, in summer we will be 7 CLASSES BEHIND.
How can Amazon do this to us players? we were promised with the smilegate&ags statement that they will ramp-up the speed of releasing classes/skins, and most of us now have seen the video about lost ark keeping the skins intentionally unreleased, if you havent ( ALL of the skins in korea, are already on our client in EU/NA, they just arent being released)
I never comment how AGS should maintain the game since i hold great respect for the team, but this is really, really starting to hit rock bottom. If Roadmap wont address missing classes, R.I.P.
So what? The game is how long out there? And how long out here? Why should Aeromancer which was planned for nearly a year be delayed any longer? What did any Korean player ever do to you that you think they should wait longer because your release doesnât have all the classes yet?
Are you aware that the idea of âcatching upâ is âyou will do and get mostly the same content but at the speed up paceâ not the âwe will give you everything from other regions in the first 2 months and stop working on other regions since screw these guys for no reasonâ?
Sounds to me like you are incredibly troubled with these things, mate. Just take a walk and chill. âcatastropheâ where? Just let them release at their own pace. Iâd be extremely surprised if we wouldnât get at least 3 classes released until August. Iâm personally waiting for arcana and I really we will see that roadmap in the upcoming week.
It will have been about 6 months between artist and aero when she releases. It hasnât even been 2 months here yet. If they release 1 class every 2 months, thatâs 3 times the speed of KR.
Seriously, we all want classes faster but this is a little over the top. Letâs at least look at their roadmap (if we get one) before we start getting angry.
I think the outrage comes from the fact that the more of endgame that gets released, the harder it will be to switch mains. I donât think weâre too deep yet but I do wish AGS would accelerate release of classes so everyone can start playing the main they want.
Its kind of sick to think of that, in nowhere i said that KR should stop getting updates, i said its SCANDALOUS that in summer, we will be 7 CLASSES behind, when smilegate&AGS released a statement which said they understand players need their missing classes.
And to people saying that i think we need aeromancer instantly in the game, i never said that, we all know newer classes will come much much later, what we want is the classes that have been YEARS on the game, that people have grown into, accomotated into playing, we do not need the new classes ARTIST or AEROMANCER, we need the ones before those that have been so long in the game to grow such an huge playerbase.
Classes are CORE, VITAL to the game-experience we should not be missing such part of game-experience, and we should atleast have STATEMENTS when to expect them so we know atleast something.
KR devs can release accurate release information about UNRELEASED CLASS when we cant have release info of classes that have been YEARS in the game? do you see why such scandalous is happening, we need to know. we cannot be kept in the DARKNESS of such core EXPERIENCE.

I agree with this as i have been affected in another game. It demoralizes and makes the player feel that they are wasting their time.
However from a business perspective, new classes are content; they are a way to draw in new players and convince older players to come back.
The problem is this works more for brand new classes that never been released in other regions. Businesses donât get that and feel we shouldnât know about other regions.
So, tldr, its a content tool to bring players back, but it hurts the players and makes them leave to begin with. It isnât âsmartâ from a player perspective. But from a business perspective it gives the illusion of resurgence.
Imma be honest with you, while under normal circumstances I wouldnât say a company dropped the ball hard releasing a new class in the native region of itâs release; in this instance they massively dropped the ball. All this talk about an accelerated roadmap and content, they do know the internet is a GLOBAL platform yes?
If they do not deliver on the other classes before the release or by the release of the aeromancer, theyâve essentially lied to the playerbase. Maybe the release date is malleable and not set in stone but I donât know. Lost Ark somehow finds itself to consistently be a part of some newly found inconsistency that turns into the latest controversy.
You are missing the point, we are not telling the DEVS to not progress the game, we are trying to tell devs to PROGRESS the game to such an point, players are not missing such an VITAL, CORE experience as our missing classes bring us, We do not want aeromancer today or tomorrow, we want the classes that have been YEARS in the game. We can wait for artist and aeromancer no problem, theyre new, fresh experiences, but others have been in the game so long, gathered such an huge playerbases, it just pains the players not to get access to an main that theyve used to play.
I donât know why KR would need to stop releasing content just because we donât have it. To me itâs clear that Smilegate cares way more about KR than about West, because if they actually cared about us, they would give us all the classes to choose from day 1, no matter what Amazon says or thinks.
West is for them just money source for the content that they already made years ago, lead by Amazon which seem to make really weird demands and decisions.
The whole Western version is just a milking machine for both Amazon and Smilegate. There will NEVER be a real Lost Ark in the west and as soon as you realize it, the better for you.
Iâm going to side with the op. However, what bothers me is that Amazon seems to be the problem. They communicate nothing of value. We get told that more information is coming but I feel like they should say just wait and see what we release because we are not going to tell you anything. The skins can be released tomorrow with no work from Amazon. We would be placated by the order and pacing of class releases. Information is what we need and if they are not ready to give a full roadmap thatâs fine but give us the parts you know now.
You literately answered your own question, this is why you donât make promises you canât keep or set expectations too high. You donât want to alienate an entire fanbase/region/consumer base or make them feel second class. Itâs just bad business.
