For the last hour or so, I have been repeatedly getting this error message when trying to search the Market or Auction House:
“Too many adventurers are using the service. Please try again later.”
If I try 3-4 times, my search eventually goes through, but it makes using the Market and AH very annoying because now I have to search multiple time for everything until I get results.

This happen to me as well, mark the things that you want or you search for daily and go to the “interest list”, you’re not going to have any problem doing that
I was still getting the error late tonight, although less frequently.
This is mostly an issue when trying to sell items. I need to search to look up current/recent prices and those searches sometimes fail with the error.
So, adding them to an interest list won’t help.

wonder if this has something to do with all the bots!
small update all day today auction house has been practically unusable same error of too many adventures using this service, small fix was keep spamming refresh or search button but that is starting to not work.

Please try the work around pointed out by @Bypro99 and while @Santoryu has already reported this, due to the type of issue you mention and how it does not match the expected behavior, this thread would be better addressed in the Bug Reports section.
