The biggest problem so far is the lack of goods on the AH. A few days ago I pushed my alt to T2 and wanted to get myself a full T2 armor set. I struggled to get some parts, as there were literally none available at that time. The same goes if you want to buy decent T3 accessories. Some popular engraving combinations are actually impossible to find or are severely overpriced. Most of the time I have to settle with what’s available, which means lots of people are forced to run with unoptimized builds - and we’re talking about T3.
Running daily content is also problematic. For example, I’m doing the daily Gesbroy coop on one of my alts. If I won’t go there early I’ll be locked out from entering Ch1. the remaining available channel has like 1-5 players making the whole event awfully long to finish. Moeke is fine so far - usually a couple of red channels available, so there’s no problem to clear it.
As for bots, I’m leveling a fresh character with my fiancee (currently in Anikka), and along the way, we’ve seen much more bots than normal players.
i love this game so much i dont want it to be new world v2 because of amazon
a server merge would help alot i think and put alot of energy back into the game
the players are so down trodden at the moment we need a boost
im forcing myself to play at this point
like i watch streams and there is groups of people doing unas, 50 ish people doing world bosses
and i feel like my uninformed choice of server has ruined my experience of lost ark forever
It was created to solve log-in problems and 10k+ queues caused by influx of bots and low amount of servers due to technical limitations of the game.
It was not created because we demanded it. We wanted the problem of 10k queues at any given time of the day to be solved. AGS/SG solved it by adding another region.
So yes, we demanded a solution for the problem. Not specifically a separate region. On contrary, a lot of people were very displeased and against second region for EU and hesitant to move there in the first place.
I really hope they fix these issues so we can all play together.
I didn’t move myself but I’m not gonna blame the players that moved, queues were too long during 6 weeks if I recall correctly, I was lucky I could ask someone to log in my computer and queue for about 7-8hours so I could play when I got home.
Anyway, AGS opened a new region to deal with the queues since they couldn’t add more servers to the current region, so I guess they will somehow, sooner or later, manage this situation and give you guys a solution. (Hopefully sooner than later)
ye i know i stayed on EUC and slog through 14k ques on my server i coud have word it better (didnt meant to offend or blame anyone) just shared my view on this situation. But ye like a sad i do hope a solution is found also Valtan release will hopefully inject more ppl in those servers
For many of us, people that just work and are not willing to pay extra electricity bills for having their PC at home ran 24/7 - logging in to play 2-3 hours during evening time was impossible. It was either move, or not play at all and lose the crystalline aura/benefits obtained during few first days where things were not so bad.
ye i remember one time after hours in the que to finally get in only to be greeted by Error: cannot connect to server on character screen and get kicked out… not gonna lie small part of me died that day it was clusterf…ck for sure
It makes you wonder why AGS/SG did not prep for this at all.
Taking into consideration that botting is popular problem in west, and in KR they had ID system to prevent it while here there was absolutely nothing, they could build a proper solution before launching.
I’m sure that if there was some form of captcha when you log in, players would not mind it if it was to help botting.
Was AGS/SG just not able to see the problem and work on technical solution? Both AGS and SG have offices in the west, and are, hopefully, aware of current trends in MMOs - so we cannot just blame it on one of the companies
At that point, I would even imagine a merge of the EUW servers into EUC if that was possible. Some people might be willing to start again on EUC but most will probably just stop playing after investing so much time for this to end like this.
It’s sad but it was bound to happen. AGS/SGR worked on a fix for the matchmaking which came out few days after EUW was created.
I’m glad I decided to just wait it out while things were improving, and also sad my friends decided to go play on EUW at that time - I was already too deep to see myself start from scratch again.
You should read more the forum… In EUC they have to queue to play mainly because of the bots. They will never fusion servers to add more people to servers that already have queues and people is complaining about it everyday serveral times a day in the forum…
I am in EUW myself and I would also like to have more people for quest and more offer in the market however you should assume that until the bot fight is not over we have 0 chances of a solution for the EUW.
I think they got caught with their pants down (bunch of big streamers played) and the game looks very appealing so it attracted lots of the wievers too. I remember hearing that Goldriver wanted 200k (or somenthing like that) but he got 1.5mil
Botting in f2p game is whole diffrent beast. I feel like captcha woudnt do much since you can just run script that woud scan the screen for the letters/pics whatever you captcha is. Phone authentication is eazily solved with throwaway cards ID verification is no go (atleast in EU) etc… I dont know how they actually CAN solve the problem and i know they want to since the bots are syphoning money from them… dunno s bit sad tbh
Each zone on EUW I enter, has lots of people. Islands do, dungeons, guardians… I never have to wait for more than a minute or two.
We have multiple open sea channels, 10 or more, I get invited each time I step on an island, dont even need to ask.
I would even say, there are too many people at times, as it can be really difficult to get enough contribution on world events, or get the world drops for cooking and stuff.
Seriously, I can not understand these thread about “low pop EUW”, I am playing just fine every day.
