If I travel across the country and come back after a few days, but log in while away, will i risk getting a ban for the separate location connections? Better to just not risk it and take a break?
Plan to be connecting initially from the west coast, then day later or so connecting from east coast, then back to west coast after 3-4 days.

I’m so sorry for the delay in responding to your post.
If you still have the same question, I like to inform you that you can log in into your account from another location without any problem the only thing you will notice is the high ping depending of the location you will be. The problem with getting a ban with the location is if you are using a VPN.
