The issue with Korean MMOs is that if they don’t complain, we don’t really have much of a chance of getting something changed to fit our region. Slayer was the first class that they got with the new tripod system and they don’t seem to have an issue. The system is fine as is because we already have increased rates and it’s 10x better than the old system.

The system is a mixed bag for sure. Very easy to get all level 4s without ever using the market, but getting the extra level on your top 6 tripods alone is torture.
The new system was definitely designed to milk players whenever new classes are released. Which is why I really am not feeling building new characters without serious tripod help.

in roughly 2 months. bit less maybe. without buying them i never got a level 5 tripod, i dropped just a few and always failed them, cant progress without spending money for them, and considering im buying grudge books for 18/19k each… it’s impossible to keep it up. so i always ignored them and keep my level 4 ones, anyway really awful system, but upgrade one is even worse anyway

you dont need lv 5 tripods tho and noone but you knows wether or not you are missing them.
You do one thing at a time, theres no point in trying to do everything at the same time. Like trying to hone gear while also buying legendary books.

yes in fact im only investing in them, no hurry i always played at my own pace, but anyway it’s an awful system, better than the previous one for sure, but remains a bad system that adds up to all the other (horrible) rng ones, really madness. but anyway it’s not even close to the upgrade one that really is disgusting
honestly I prefer this new system compared to the old system since once you learn a tripod you’ll always have it, no matter if you swap gears. Trust me when I tell you that the % rates of tripods are working as they should compared to the % rates of stone cutting.
Having said all this, do I think that the new tripod system needs a slight buff ? Yes I do but it’s still okayish in it’s current state
i agree it’s better than the previous one, much better, but remains bad because it’s just the whole thing that is madness. im sure the stone cutting is even worse… gonna meet it soon cos as i finish grudge x 20 will need a 7 7 stone. and upgrade system it’s just the devs taking openly joke of us players. i just really love combat system in this game, else i would have uninstalled LA long ago xD

I’m not quite sure why you’re calling it a bad system cause in reality it ain’t really that bad. As I said before, the lvl 5 tripod rates are good as 5% without dust and 10% with dust. remember that you’re working with only a 10% chance of success, meaning that you’ll be failing more often than succeeding
The only feedback i can give though is that they can remove the pheon cost on tripods and lower the success rates to 1%. that, in my opinion would be the best method for the tripod system

problem is that everything together makes it awful for players who dont spend a lot of real money to progress. or insane amount of time. By the time I will be able to get let’s say my x12 books conidering the actual price, and the new accessories, and the stone…only for one chracter, basically brel will be already considered old by the community. usually i wouldnt care much, then by the time i will be able to get to a decent level, there will be the new thing released and then back to the start more or less, happened with argos, then clown, and now brel. and it hitted hard with brel.
i understnad system it’s not too bad by itself, but I will never be able to spend gold on tripods systems to be honest, im fine with level 4 ones, other things have certainly priority over that. and i dont want free stuff but all these systems are just bad. just made to milk players who dont understand and pay to progress.
i am happy to spend some money on the game as i do, but paying to progress in a game that is costantly evolving, means wasting money. Nothing that you pay for is meaningful, and will only make you reach a certain point faster. big no for my point of view. I rather spend some money on skins, or even some cards maybe that are things that are remaining in my account rather than volatile things like upgrades. this is my point of view. all of these rng upgrades systems are predatory systems and should not be fed.
I am F2P and have no problems with the new tripod system. If you use the powder of sage each and every single time you try for a lvl 5 tripod then you’ll have no issues at all and just leave it to RNG to do the rest.
Here’s the issue with a lot of players. A lot of players want to do everything all at once be it honing, tripods, gems and even buying legendary books. As a F2P player you’re kinda limited to what you can do so you have to take it 1 step at a time to utilize the best results.
First thing you should do is to reach 1460 at least and start farming chaos dungeons for lvl 4 tripods until you have all your desired skills covered, while at the same time try to focus on a 4x3 setup. Then after that you’d want to start buying legendary books for 1 or 2 engravings. After that you can start working for a 5x3 or a 5x3+1 setup while still learning lvl 5 tripods from chaos dungeons. Then you can just focus on honing until let’s say 1500 while also keep trying for lvl 5 tripods and at that point you can even start buying them from the market

Over 60 lv 5 tripods down all with sage powder not 1 of them succeded … nice rng
I totally agree with OP. They should increase the base success rate by at least 5% for lvl 5 tripods.
I really wanted to switch my main class, but having all lvl 5 on my current main and only lvl 4 on the new one somehow stopped me. The difference between lvl 4 and lvl5 can be insane on certain classes.
You don’t really need lv 5, all my alts have lvl 3/4 and they do okay on any content.
the tedious tripod process is just deliberately to slow u down and make u buy pheons
All you can ask for is for those trippods to be lowered in pheon value, because they wont remove it. Notice how they havent lowered the Stone pheon cost and it is the rng of making a basic char setup.
