thank you for your explanation i personally bought many things in LA and have 2FA activated vie Email in Steam and iam Trusted all features Acessible but i fear when they crank up the system to all Users i will loose this Trusted status cuz i cant activate the Mobile Authenticator because i have no Phone (more of a personal Life Decision/Reason) and i will definitly not buy one For Lost Ark.

If they really crank this up and everyone needs Steam Guard App, the only solution for people without a smartphone (which I totally respect) would be an emulator I guess (as described above in a posting by me). Which is of course absolutely not ideal, but might be a solution.
I understand the problem of not owning a mobile, etc, and that’s the reason why steam guard had more than 1 method in the first hand, you can choose to use a mobile or use email for the 2-step security.
The trusted status now is separated into trusted in steam and trusted in lost ark where trusted in steam have a listed requirement like spending 5 USD, while trusted in lost ark have no set requirement. Back in March/April, they adopt the trusted status in steam and need us to be trusted in steam to get the trusted status in lost ark. Now they take it a further step to say they need you to have 2FA with mobile to be trusted.
First of all I don’t agree this is the right direction to combat bot as I’m sure bots will find a way to do that in days. This 2-step system is for security of our account and not as a lazy method of combat bot. Today is add the requirement of mobile, who knows what they need? maybe a credit linked?
If they really need to combat bot, why don’t they do that to all those who buy from RMTer instead? Just a tempban of 3 days without taking away gold is like asking ppl to go buy there until you get caught. Nearly all the gold transfer seems to be going through the auction house and look at all those tier 1 items selling over 1k gold, you can easily spot those buyer/seller and just perm ban those account to stop the trend.
I’ve bought steam games worth more than $5. I’m already using mobile steam guard, and i can sell and buy items on steam community market. Why am i still prohibited to use lost ark trading system and can’t write mail with attachment?

I totally understand the frustration and where you’re coming from. Just keep in mind that we are rolling it out to small groups of players first. This will allow us to monitor closely and see how everything works out. Please bear with us as we try different methods to clear the bots and keep Lost Ark safe.

Well, here I am again. I had decided to leave this game for good, I spent around 15 days away to unwind, but I decided to give it one more chance. I saw that there was an update and now everyone is required to activate Steam’s Mobile Authenticator. Well, my account already has Steam’s Mobile Authenticator activated, but nothing has changed for me, I keep getting the warning on my screen that I don’t have the “Trusted Status” yet. I would like a light, a direction, because I’m already losing the last bit of charm for the game, which soon, I’ll definitely stop playing, if it continues like this.
You will be keeping Lost Ark safe from me, someone that has spent money and I am a ‘Founder’ as well…

If you don’t own a mobile phone honestly you have other issues in life. Probably shouldn’t be playing this game.

Yup i pay for my phone but its 100% worth.
