how is it preventing u from progressing? its not a oneshot anymore

You can circumvent the mechanic, if you fight near one of the platform ends and either climb up or down to a new platform before the cast is over you will not take damage.
This is doable as he does cast it at a fixed point. 3 skills after his big ground stomp, the 4th skill after ground stomp is the wipe
Would be nice to know when this is going to be addressed. Roxx said is borked but nothing else of it has been mentioned will it be fixed anytime soon?
I still dont see the problem since
- Changed Tytalos’ attack that collects sand energy and explodes from a wipe mechanic to a high-damage attack.
its no longer a wipe mechanic, so either dodge it other ways to avoid the high dmg, or face tank it and pot afterwards
as stated, not a wipe mechanic anymore. You could also try to get a higher gearscore friend to carry you. I have done it for some guildies alts and it phases rather quickly without doing hardly any mechanics. I am also a t3 geared player though.
I can confirm Tytalos is bugged. Please fix asap
I haven’t been able to survive it so far with a 1000 gs berserker even with full health a insta kill. Same goes for my friend that is much higher gs than needed as a gunlancer.

This teach people a bad habit that will bite everyone when they get to Achates…
they tend to fight at the edge with no room to dodge and as soon as the boss start to spawn the white storms there is no way to safely attack… especially if it’s is one of the narrow edges…
I also seen people run to base to replenish pots carrying with them one of the sandstorms… which means that now there is only one sandstorm near the boss… this is not as annoying but it makes things harder (sometimes if players stay around the boss the two sandstoems overlap providing a quicker way to get the petrified debuf and escape the 1HKO)
So ive gone in and tried Tytalos to see if his KO mechanic still KOs or just does tons of dmg, I did not die, neither on my main or my alt, just took like 95% of my hp
he also did spawn the tornadoes for the mechanic, so idk
Sometimes they spawn and sometimes they dont, which has apparently been documented by tons of people at this point.
well he still dont oneshot so just facetank the dmg or run away or use ladder to avoid the dmg

LoL… you can’t dodge it, max cheese it. You clearly do not know the boss, yet giving away advices.
To be constructive:
When he is charging, just stagger him. It’s a stagger mechanism now, that’s why he didn’t spawn the sandstorm.

hmmm? what he/she wrote are workarounds that totaly work vs wipe mech.
tytalos now has a stagger mechanic, after the first explosion he consumes the sandstorms and goes into enrage mode (gets a red aura), so he doesn’t summon the storms again until you deal enough damage to him to break this enrage, when it breaks he returns to normal and returns to summoning the sandstorms

the outrange is what i meant with dodging, just run far away, u can still be on the same platform lol

Dodge is = space, not running away. Running away is running away. Also, if you are close to him, you can’t make it far enough in the fight to avoid the mechanic.
Also, as I said, you still do not know the fight, cause you have to stagger it now , as I said.

if it was iframeable, i would say iframe, i agree that dodge isnt the best word to use, but dodge does not mean iframe, iframe is iframe and theres no other word for it, i am sorry for you that u never learned basic mmorpg terminology.
and idk about you, but wouldnt you say ur dodging a skill, if ur moving out of the red indicator? ur just moving but technicly, your dodging the skill arent u
and all i did was to give two alternative ways to deal with the mechanic if the sandstorms do not spawn. I am sorry that i dont clear Tytalos on a daily basis and didnt know they added a stagger mechanic after the first aoe, I just saw people crying they cant clear him claiming hes bugged and offered assistance for them to be able to clear it if this was the case while waiting for a possible fix.
But I dont see the problem here and why me possibly not knowing they changed the fight after the patch except for making it high dmg instead of a KO suddenly invaldiates everything I say lol
But yeah I am sorry, from now on I will clear every GR raid daily to stay up to date to possible changes they do not add to the patchnotes so im eligible to speak about the matter
