For those of you who read my friend’s post above, the nice people who gave me the benefit of the doubt, the people who are still suffering from having their account banned, and the doubters-
As of yesterday 9:00ish pm, I was able to log back into my account.
Yesterday at around 10:15am I was kicked out of the game and permanently banned due to “Cheating” and was told to appeal. I did not cheat. Never used VPN, RMT, scripts, bots, etc. I logged in, played the game as it was intended, and logged out. For 1000 hours since launch.
I appealed to the link provided, sent screenshots of my in-game and steam spending, asked to be reviewed and the reason why I was banned. 15 or so minutes later, I get a copy-paste message form support saying that they will not share any further info and that I was going to remain permanently banned.
My friends/guildies posted the forum post shortly after as I could not since this account is banned. Meanwhile, I talked to live support chat - they did not help me. They said to go back and appeal again as they had no moderation power. I don’t blame them, they really don’t.
I replied to appeal again and they pretty much told me that they will not respond to any more emails regarding this topic.
So I went to message @Roxx directly and went outside to do my normal routines.
I got home around 9pm to try and log on to my account as suggested by one of my friends. And I was not banned anymore. No permanent ban message. No issues. It just logged on. I played. No words from AGS, no words from anyone. It’s like nothing happened.
It’s been a day now since I got “unbanned” and my account seems fine. If you’re also going through this random ban, I know it sucks. That’s all I can say. But know you are not alone and it really is happening to a lot of people.
PS I have screenshots of all of this happening. I don’t know the forum rules as this is my first time posting and I will not post them here. I’m also scared of getting randomly banned again for no reason. If you’re curious- DM me for discord.
