I was just playing around 10 minutes ago when I reached Peyto and it got stuck around 75% and didn’t move for 5 minutes. I closed the game in Steam, closed Steam, re launched Steam and launched the game.
When I selected the server Valtan (which is where my main and only character is) the game was trying to connect, finally an error message appeared saying something in the lines of “Error game closing”. I re launched the game and now before even the servers appear I got a message saying “Duplicate Login found - Your account is already logged in (and something about a possible ban for multiple logins)”.

In this cases what happens is that the system does not recognize that you logged out already so when you try to log back in you get that message, normally after 30 minutes you are able to log in with no problem as the other session that was still active should have been closed by the system for inactivity. Can you confirm that you are able to connect now? I see that it’s been a few hours since you posted about this so it should be fixed by now, if you are still having problems please let me know.
