Una’s tokens are a huge incentive for botting in this game. If Smilegate were to get rid of the una’s cash shop gold chests and replace it with a currency that operates as gold for all purposes (honing etc) and made it so the only way it could be traded was for blue crystals, this would hit bots twofold. It would incentivize gold buying through the game by giving people a way to get blue crystals directly in the game, and it would cut off all botted gold generating revenue from una’s tokens. Could call this currency platinum or something.

This would absolutely require some logistical work on smilegate’s end to re-balance some of the gold production by the actual players in the end game, but I think that’s more than achievable.

The beautiful thing is they don’t really have to anyways I guess. The gold market would correct itself eventually.

self-bumping idea I had. Lots of gold coming from una’s. This at least fights inflation.

I hate to break it to you, but they do not care. Bots have been a majority on the big servers since the end of February, with countless solutions being thrown in the forums. Likely that the boosted “player” count is being used as a shareholder metric for how good the game is doing.

I don’t want to give up on the game and I think something like this would really help cull bots.

Is this idea that bad? Are una dailies not the main source of raw gold for botters?
