Upcoming nerfs to T1-T2 Content

To that, I completely agree, Tier 3 should not be touched. It is by no means “too hard” for anyone with a brain.

What the hell is going on? This is my first time playing this game and im 1330 ilvl. I said no to play east because i wanted to experience it in our version. Looks like i made a mistake and i have to install a vpn to play korean servers if they planning to nerf tier 3 too.

Yes balance things down, let the “hardcore” players rant, they will be the same players that will rant if character balancing happens, if players want challenge, remove all gears and skill level then enter those contents

That is ridiculous. People are trying to follow the streamers that are rushing the content and when they cant do, start complaining at the forum for nerfs. That is not fair with the players that are making some (lots) of trys to achieve the abyss and its not fair with the game that will be too easy and the challenging content will no longer exist.
Totally disagree with this decision of making things easier…

If this was about profit why would they make anything easier to achieve? They’d want it to be harder to encourage people to pay to skip it.

Smilegate has stated in multiple Q&A’s/interviews that their vision/goal is for all regions to catch up to Korea so that they can release new content globally at the same time. In order to achieve that goal, they really should make it easier to catch up to T3.

i think they consider a thing like steam data base achievement but on their data base
content creation team : they not real player who not passed those levels, they just afk in islands to chill in background to use the view.
game were already easy, you can add a hard mode for those who like it? and add easier mode who doesn’t like it? that way problem solve for all. and scale your bosses for hard mode to 1400gear lvl. what i wrote should solve the problem, is not so much of work to just increase and decrease bosses damages for different game difficulties and modes.

They go the path of failure over and over again.

Watch Blizzard battle.net aka Microsoft now.

They nerf content and ppl leaves
They create something good then take it back or just delete it and ppl do what?

Yes! They leave

Blizzard fills a working quote because #*qt and bla bla bla
Quality of work spikes to the opposite direction and all those harassements…

People leave a game again

What you really have to do its fix your queues since this game about a grind but i csnt grind cuz

PLAYER ISNT FOUND
SOMEOKE DECLINED A QUEUE

Have you guys thought of some 101011 will start botqueue and decline the dungeons or any such queue so we normal ppl wont play anymore?

You lost a big chunk of $ and real people

I am sorry guys but the numbers you see right now are spiking bots not players and bots do not pay you

If you are trying to be bought by a shark like a microsoft you have a realy nice way shining on your compass… tho they did really good to games they actually bought

But
i do not think they ever would need Lost ark
They have a diablo iv now

Gl nerfing a game

I stay for a while now cuz the game is really awesome but please invest your power in something we really in need of

Succes rate under 10%.
What does that matter if you can’t brag about it and feel special for being in those under 10%.
Doing it doesn’t reward you, you want to compare yourself to others to feel better.
In PvE… smh.
Wait for pvp and be the first there if you’re so good.
As for nerfs and whatnot there are several players that have cleared that agree that certain fights in lower tiers are harder than some in higher tiers.
I’m so happy that catering to a majority of the playerbase makes you miserable.
And I hope several future changes make you leave the game and take everyone that thinks like you with you.

The issue I see with the game currently is the fact that players don’t want to spend the time to research a dungeon or even guardian raid before going into them. I have had to spend more time telling players before we start a fight to take 5 minutes to watch a simple YouTube video To understand the fight then it actually takes to fight the boss sometimes.
It has become a running meme in our Guild that the hardest content in this game currently are the players.
It also seems like players want to treat this game more like Diablo than a traditional MMO’s.
The mentality of the current generation of MMO players Is that they want to be spoonfed information right before a fight. The problem is this game has so many simple mechanics that if not properly done can wipe a group.
I had a strong feeling after running all the dungeons Tier 2 was going to be the thing that players would quit due to Mechanics. Also the success rate of up grading gear.

It’s more attractive to new players to make T1 and T2 content easier.

Otherwise the game will become too grindy and people will quit, and then the game will die.

Even if the game doesn’t die it’ll become a niche game for like 2000 to 3000 players at most.

I’ve seen it again and again in every genre.

A tiny player base is not good for the pocket books.

Yes 2000 player base is considered tiny, specially when only like 1% of those will pay for cashshop stuff and the 99% are just playing for free or are bots selling gold and power leveling.

@Slick Even when raids or certain other activities are nerfed by 20% (as an extreme example) the game does not become fundamentally different. It will still be grindy. The new players you talking about will quit the game if grinding is the reason they quit.

The reason why smilegate would be better off listening to the more sophisticated players instead of the masses that come when copium hype levels are high and leave the game soon after (independent of nerfs or not) is that sophisticated players are more likely to stay when they like the game. The concept is not new, it works in Korea, so there is no need to change a running system. Apart from that It is also way easier to balance a game when all regions have more or less the same settings…

I’m ok with adjustment to tweak the encounter mechanics, but nerfing it… that’s not ok for me.

I like how most people in here aren’t acknowledging or are uninformed that the western version is currently harder than the eastern version with 30% buffs on most content… The nerfs might make us in line with the other regions

As far as I understood that is not the case for the content we are talking about (the mechanical difficult raids that most complain about). The 30% more HP is a guarding raid thing. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong…

While I personally do not necessarily care/agree with the nerfs, I dont think it’s fair to expect people to watch videos and guides on everything they’re going to do in a game… People have this flawed misconception about “oh the information is available so people should always inform themselves beforehand”. What happened to learning and exploring a game? Do you think in KR when they release new content, SMG gives them a guide and video on how to clear it?

Like, do you start playing a solo RPG and pull up a full walkthrough guide from A to Z to finish the game?

This is pure gold

Im not asking players to watch over 200 hours of videos. There is so much to explore in this game that why would you want to do that. However TO BE FAIR! when your going to do a Dungeon or raids as a PUG its not fair for the rest of your team to not know the basic understanding of a said fight. You can watch all the videos you want till you experience and see for it yourself under presser do you truly understand it. The side problem is that people dont want to just learn the fight as they go. They go in wanting to be spoon-fed the information which take time out of other players life. While said team members have to spend 10min typing a synopsis making sure they did not miss a thing about said fight. Unlike other MMOs this game introduces instant wipe mechanics quickly and it get worst at almost every tier after hitting level 50. Anyone who has done any forum of raid in a MMO should know to do basic research on a dungeon before you enter. This is not Diablo It feels like it till you hit 50 then it becomes a whole another animal.
If you want to learn the fights without watching videos then its best to run these things as a guild with like minded people. However im sure 1 member of the group will have watch a simple 2min video on said fight before they event. It does not ruin the learning experience of said part of raiding and Dungeons and completing it is the main goal.

Have you seen a dev video on a raid ? They tell you almost every mechanic in a fight upfront. on top of the fact that they let Raid Guild do fights before they are released to not only test parts of fights but come up with guides to help other people

Final note I do uses walkthrough guides once I beat the game as I’m a completionist and once I notice I missed something I uses said guides to go back to complete said goal. There was a dev that put in hard work to put said item or thing in the game so I want to make sure I enjoy in the labor.

Abyss dungeons have buffed hp as well (i am already on T3 and cleared all abyss dg exept hard mode currently 1352gs) and i can tell you T3 abyss dungeons stagger checks are easier than T1 stagger checks, wich is prolly based on HP pools, this happens in Guardian Raids as well, staggering them is way harder than it should be, using stagger pots should not be mandatory and rn if you are using certain classes they are.
That being said if they kept everything like it is rn i would not care that much, organized party’s can clear it just fine, but i understand that the extra hp is making it harder than it should be (to the point that some T3 guardians and abyss dgs are easier than T1 ones)

Some of the abyss nerfs were necessary. Lets be honest when raid 1 of 3 is the hardest and its the first one something is wrong.

In no way should the first boss be 10x more difficult than every boss that follows in that tier, its supposed to be the opposite.

Sea of Indolence NEEDED a nerf, not a massive one mind you. I mean i beat those 3 raids last night, and sea of Indolence was the legitimate only problem. The rest were done after 1-3 tries.

I think is not a trouble of difficulty because we beat them or have enought dps
but a game design trouble.

  1. you can come to raid and abysse before own you main class (you havent to use identity during the lvling progress)

  2. Then they explain you 1 only time your Ultimate spell but you havent any time to test and understand he use chaos shard you can buy on merchant (he told you 1 time but you dont try or train on)

The Last boss of Abysse 340 for exemple is not hard to understand the patern or the mecanic.
But you have for exemple only 1 frame to see the color of the dispell (many time we dont see it because we was focusing on something other or we dont keep attention on this frame)
So is just a game design trouble for the progression.

  1. the set you have on elveria can be improve by your past upgrading blue set (i never notice that before a friend of mine told me.
On a side we have too many information (board/page etc…) on an other side the game is opact and not friendly for new player.

Again is not a difficulty, just game design trouble, its like we play 50+ area on first day with no experience of the game

We should have the tower progress before the 50 bern capital for me is the best place to understand our “champion”

The tutorial and training you have for your Alt “Cesam” should be on the main story before.

So dont nerf the game just rework some lvling progress information not the difficulty
