Upgrading gear T2

So im still pretty fresh, I just got to Tier 2 funny enough. I have the 802 chaos gear upgraded to 840 so I’m eligible for the abyssal dungeon. My question is, if I upgrade my gear to 900 before doing the dungeon and get the purple gear, will I still be able to hone a 900(blue/rare) gear to 900(purple/Epic) gear or will I lose a couple item levels

This regarding the Abyssal dungeon and getting that gearset instead of using the rare gearset you get from doing the chaos dungeon upon entry to T2.

its just like in t1 u just gear transfer and have same ilvl

So the rarity wont effect how many levels I get back? Cuz in Tier one I only used the blue gear cuz my smooth brain didn’t know what the abyssal dungeon did…

Yeah you just infuse your blue gear into the epic gear

don’t forget you can use the gear transfer button, right when you go to the hone npc. it’s on the bottom. you can transfer over the +#
