It takes absolutely forever to buy even 100 lvl 1 gems from the AH. With the “your transaction history being reviewed” popping up every other purchase because of cooldown. its almost not worth sitting there for hours. I mean you need 720+ for 1 lvl 7 gem.

True, but it’s still insane ROI.
A trick to avoiding the “checking purchase history” message is to wait for purchase to come in mail, accept it, and then refresh search in shop.
Also make sure you change class filter to “All” and then fuse up to desired selling lvl on class whose gem prices are currently high.
This timing avoids the purchase delay message / gems getting snagged out while you are clicking.
It really doesn’t take that long to do in relation to how profitable it is.
I just bought 250 over the course of a few Boss Rushes. 250 gold and sold the fused level 6 for 6300 (on SH). 6300 was the cheapest Lvl 6 SH gem when I sold it, but a lot of other classes lvl 6 gems were closer to 5k.
6,000 gold profit is nothing to sneeze at. Yes it’s very monotonous to do, but so easy to make gold from.

lv10 gem is just one extreme case. The reason why I take it as example is because gem is supposed to be the most valuable item in this game, and now it become so worthless. U can earn ur free gem as long as u wish to spare time out.

Recent changes to AH market place forced trade restrictions of 10s before consecutive trades.
For sellers, these are chaos bots who did not intentionally want to sell the gem for 1 gold, this occurs infrequently due to latency problems (I.e. they trying to type 15 but only the 1 goes through) but is perceived frequently in the AH due to massive frequency. Known as a bot fat finger.
For buyers, there exist scripting bots or market makers who send requests to AGS servers at a high frequency to buy the item for cheaper. These players help stabilise the market but “scrape” 5%-10% of what the farming bot makes.
Before the recent trading restrictions you were not able to perceive these errors of 1 gold because the buyer bots were purchasing at a rate faster than your refresh. Now you can perceive these bot selling errors as the buyer bots cannot operate on the high frequency anymore.
Thus your gem has not devalued or would have been devalued before the recent changes. The devaluation is dependant on demand of RMT buyers vs supply of chaos bots.

i mean ive seen level 7 gems sell at 1 gold months ago, hell gems use to sell for as long as 5 gold, idk but id love to see level 1 gems be 1 gold on my market place so i can gear classes easier. the cost of level 1 gems does affect the level 10 gems that greatly as their value is exponentially higher than that of their total make up. as i strongly doubt there are enough level1 gems listed at 1g to even make 1 level 10 gem atm.
on top of that their invariability in RNG and inability to push further drive the cost up. so overall this is a non issue and non bot driven if it was bot driven then there would be 100s of thousands of them.

your math is off, you would need 59-60k lvl 1 gems for a lvl 10 gem, 20k lvl 1s would be a lvl 9.
Yikes. Check yours first lmao. You need exactly 19,683 level 1 gems to make a lvl 10 one. Idk what universe or planet your math is coming from but we live on planet Earth.
Was at 1 gold for me you need to search all classes. and keep refreshing. NA EAST
