Looks like they dropped alot of bots. Population dropped by 150k, and you can log in most servers without a queue (for now). I’m guessing it’ll last rest of the night before the bots flood back in again.
Wait till the world is full of AI technology. Robots will take our jobs and play lost ark for us. How do you know you are not a bot?
If there were no buyers then there would be no sellers.
If there are people spending money then people will always find a way to bot.
Even KO which has verified accounts with peoples identity has bots.
Its a constant fight that devs will have to deal with.
It’s hard for us to believe you are actively working to combat bots when it’s so obvious and so visible. Every channel of Vern Castle, on Una at least, has at least a dozen bots running back and forth from the repairer and the chaos dungeon. That’s just in one small place. They are all over. It’s hard to get excited for upcoming content when it feels like players are outnumbered by bots.

so far blocked shadow/exitlag and others to combat the bots. As we seen with new world, they love using solutions involving collateral damage. Much easier than to detect all the bots stuck on triports and running through walls.

you better do fast it’s not fun waiting 5k queue in everyday… for me rather i have 2nd verification instead of waiting 5k-8k every single day.
How about just do what KR does, just force people to put their personal citizenship information in order to play. For those who don’t want to oh well, no Lost Ark for them, but at least it controls the bots.

Just sad seeing them constantly saying that they are watching and even “Actively” working to combat the problem. While the problem seems to be only growing.
At least IMO.
When there a whole in the ship you cant just say, we are working on this really good fix.
Just freaking fill the whole, do a temporary CAPTCHA at login or etc etc. make due with a less optimal solution.

yeah thats fair, but the way I see it there’s really nothing they could do to get rid of bots so doing something like a captcha at login would only make it more annoying to log in for real players. As bots would just get around captchas.
The only thing I see that they could possibly do is tie our identity’s to our profiles, which has worked for Korea quite well. No way anything like that is happening out here in the West tho. But there still are bots in Korea, my point is that it’s a difficult issue and not something they can just fix like that. They already have removed gold from lower level missions which was a good call.

You can bet it’s something they’re really working on, I was wondering if they might be waiting to do a ban wave as a huge drop in player count might scare some people.
But just keep in mind, any problems people have with lack of resources, honing rate, early argos release, etc, are supposed to be solved with either royal crystals or mari shop.
People solving the problem with a $10 bot and afking chaos dungeons is not an intended solution.
