Let me ask you one question in return so you can answer your own.
Do you want to earn 30% more leapstones or not?
And there you have it. If you consider yourself a somewhat competent player, learning Velganos will take you 1-2 days max.

IMO it’s worth it. 2-3 more greater leapies. I enjoy soloing him. Couple of times went with duo.
He’s hard to learn at start, but once you manage to know his moves, he’s really easy. Biggest pita is that dark rain spewing EVERYWHERE and that’s some bad design imo. Only thing I hate. If he did that fewer times and if they do not stay like 30s on the ground… It’d be completely enjoyable.
I dont think you need to kill him in order to do the next one
If u r f2p, yeah… def worth it. 2 more leapstones a day will stack and you are aalwyaa leapstone limited. Once your weapon level is higher, the fight becomes MUCH easier.
Just drag him out of the area he drops all the crap in. He’s a great follower.
Because you can kill velganos in 5min solo
It takes about the same time to solo him as it takes for a yoho run for me.
Once you learn the mechanics he’s easier than yoho as well.
Idk about duoing but soloing the boss is way easier than pugging him or even doing him in a pre-made group. I’ve done both and you can easily 1-shot (1-attempt) Velganos solo but it usually takes multiple tries in a group.
When playing solo, obviously the health scales. So that’s not an issue. You don’t have to worry about the wipe-mech (non-stagger). You can just let Velganos pick you up and it automatically knocks Velganos down without coordinating the black-dot. You can just walk away from the stagger check in both solo and group- arguably easier in a group IMO bc I play a class w/o much stagger and you have 4 potentiall whirlwind nades instead of 1.
What makes solo way easier IMO is the fact that you don’t have to coordinate who gets buffs. You can just grab them all.
This all said. I just run Velganos when I’m feeling it. I run Yoho 85% of the time because it’s way quicker and gives the exact same rewards afaik. I may start running Velganos more now though-- now that I have the Yoho title
For me it wasn’t easy and I used over 100 epic pots in trying. So I’m glad you are managing him quite well. For me it was absolute horror.
I’m also not sure but it is dead and I’m on the safe side now.
Because the stats are different in solo or duo. Stagger is easier, health pool is lower, mechanics are more forgiving, and the biggest thing is if ypu are in a 4 man and 2 people die. That means its two people vs a boss thats scaled for 4. So ehats the point in teying to 4 man it when everyone just dies and makes the fight 4x harder.
Velganos is fun imo. It takes a while to really learn the mechanics well, but I would say Velganos’ rewards need a bit of a re-work. I think Velganos is more difficult the P1-3 Argos. Majority of this could be due to the tight spaces I always end up in while fighting him, but just remember to place yourself in safe places. I think Yoho is simply far too easy, and Velganos is a whole lot of fun. Many different mechanics, having to keep your wits about you making sure you keep your stacks of light or you wont deal damage, etc…makes for a good time. I think fighting Velganos is perfect for preparing for whats to come in our Legion Raids and how much more difficult things are really going to get. Excited for Valtan and Deskaluda!
Thats because most people you get in groups have 0 clue what they are doing and die from pizza even after doing it the 10000 time
Solo’d him for the first time today 1409 scrapper.
Definitely easier than i thought. took 10 mins and 2 revives. With experience i should be able to get down to 5-6 mins with no deaths
The key is to not get greedy with your dps, 2-3 skills then dodge then 2-3 skills again. If you get greedy you will get hit and he hits hard. And dont try to counter the breathe just dodge it, its not worth because the breathe will kill you 90% of the time. I managed to survive once with 9k hp left when i was at full 95k hp
But yea 4 men is not recommended because of the light buff. he hits hard tho so i can def see squishy classes have trouble soloing him unless you are super over geared like 1430+Or just good at dodging everything
Not worth it below 1400 but worth it afterwards. The fight becomes trivial as you get better weapon. Velganos gives 2 more gls. That is 60 more per month
I found it challenging and fun when I did it at 1385 as a blue gunlancer
Took me a few hours to get it haha
I think you’re right it only gives 1-2 more GHLs but in all honesty at 1421 now, it is pretty easy
Even usually help others / first timers and duo with them for 10-15min kills max
Depends on your reason for doing him, I do it because it’s more fun than Yoho haha
i think it will be the same like all previous level raid level guardian which will require you to kill all the guardian on the previous level before you can attempt the new level guardian, and when deskaluda is out, it will be on lvl 6 which i assume will require you to kill every guardian on lvl 5
with full group of friend/solo yes. pub nope.
Why exactly?! Velganos is the only guardian I hated
I did him solo once do be able to do other guardians when I hit the ilvl.
I wouldnt do it in a group cuz you can get wiped if someone fails the circle with the orb.
I farm Yoho atm, Velganos takes to much time and the maps sucks.
