I don’t think there are more bots than usual. I think most of the time, when there are thousands of bots on every server, but they are steadily streaming between Vern and Chaos dungeons a little at a time, everything is fine. But if there is the slightest hiccup which causes bots to pile up on Vern, it becomes a positive feedback loop, more bots queueing at once causing longer and longer delays until it ultimately turns into a DDoS attack on the matchmaking server.
You realize there are over 100 channels in north vern of JUST bots really right? Prior to this weekend there were only 35 or so haha they nearly tripled the amount of bots they are running for the vykas release after the nerf to infinite chaos.
I’m sure AGS doesn’t take pride in the fact that bots ruin the players experience, but they have made a financial decision that allowing the bots is better for their bottom line than trying to raise the barrier to enter their game.

It’s because they are piling up in vern. These bots are not new, they were just inside the dungeon before. And average channels in Vern has been 65 steady for weeks.
False but you can think it’s a ddos if you want. if the ONLY thing lagging is the matchmaking que, the amount of bots queing up is what’s causing that. You can’t ddos are target a SPECIFIC aspect of the game buddy.
I think you failed to understand what I said. It’s not a DDoS attack per say, but since 1000s of bots on every NA East server are all pressing “Enter” at the same time right now, it’s essentially equivalent to a DDoS attack at the moment.
As a side note, developers do love to cry “DDoS attack” when their own infrastructure is failing. Don’t be surprised if AGS claims it here. It will look like a DDoS attack to them, but it’s not.
That and they will probably end up deleting this whole thread post like they did with the Crystaline Aura one.
