I’d not complain if the ToS was ACTIVE at the launch date, and I’ve been using ExitLag ever since, but now I can’t, and that’s why I’m complaining, this isn’t gonna help them, or reduce any bots problems, this will only affect us players, get it through your thick skulls please…

did they say that we are punishing people because they used VPNs? no. they said we wanna fight bots. and is this kind of “fight” effective? NO! it’s just annoying players.
bots were using popular VPN providers to making it hard for being detected. So, the idea is to ban all popular VPNs? what will it solve? bot programmer had to pay something like 10 usd for a VPN service, now they have to pay 20-30 usd to rent a VPS with a random IP. WHOA! that’s 10-20 usd increase per month for the bot developer!!! I’m sure they will get bankrupted because they can’t afford extra 10-20 usd per month!!!
until you realize how much stupid is that bot fighting strategy by AGS , you may look at my current ping without Exitlag. imagine doing Argos P3 with Wifi connection:

It’s against the ToS, you accept the ToS everytime you log in, if you use VPN’s , wether it’s for good or bad use, you violate the ToS.

This only works in a world where regionlocking doesn’t negatively affect people. For all the praise steam gets, their region locks are trash as fuck.
Anything under 180 is playable
I’ve played 230-280 ping in RU and 120-150 in JP and still cleared all the content I did.
I would say anything above 180 is intolerable.
You ping isn’t ideal but it isn’t too bad. Anything under 120 is more than enough for Lost Ark

When there are players in Bmerica play on American server, Bmazon cannot blame Amazon for that, because Amazon could say “i wrote it in tos”
So it is kind of strange for Amazon using this tos as an excuse to ban VPN
I can understand the effort Amazon has taken to ban bots, but i thought there should be some more creative approaches to achieve that
well i didnt use a vpn, payed for 2 month, then decided to bann the IP.

What I see getting lost on a lot of people is that the reason as to why companies put these rules into their ToS’s is in large part due to licensing laws. Every country is unique, and heck, the US and multiple states is super complex to navigate since one state may have a set of rules that another state does not, for example.
In order to avoid legal trouble from countries that they do not have a right to publish in, they have to contain these types of clauses because well, it’s 2022. A lot of people use VPN’s to bypass region locking, but the company doing the publishing has to protect themselves too.
It’s a shame that AGS is now hard enforcing this policy, especially given that we have an entire region of players there were more or less dependent on using service to have a decent ping to do end game content with.

I know the reasons, but they don’t really matter. The laws themselves are outdated and shit too. When you’re being inconvenienced or denied a product, it doesn’t matter what the reason is, and I’m glad there are ways to get around them.
if you do not agree you couldve just shut up, after 3 month of releasing NOW they talk about ToS why didnt they just ban VPN-players in the first place, instead they ignored their own ToS for 3 month, what a *** scam.
whats wrong with using wifi? this isnt 1999 anymore where wifi was horrible. My 5hz wifi is on par with a cat 8 ethernet and offers me speeds of up to 35gb/s

And they didn’t ignore their own ToS. They stated that they may start enforcing their rule whenever they feel like it. You don’t like it. Many of us, including myself, don’t like it. But they told players from the get go.
I don’t see how this is AGS or smilegates problem.
According to Roxx, this is false and it has indeed effected a decent number of bots.
