Doesn’t DMZ overrides your router’s firewall and completely expose that specific computer to the internet.
If it is just your gaming PC it really shouldn’t impact your security. But people should know what it does.

I have the same type of WIFI adapter (from Alienware Laptop) and have this issue too.
