Apologies in advance for the frustrated tone, but given the recent verdict from the community managers, (see below) and as someone who has spent a large amount of time building up a roster on a second server, I can’t help but feel somewhat cheated.
Some background information:
-
We are allowed to have multiple accounts (Playing multiple Accounts - #38 by Fostus)
-
We are allowed to mail gold between accounts (Can I play on a same server/region roster and send the gold to my account via email? - #7 by Fenrirskoll)
-
We are allowed to use the auction house to receive gold for a bus (I was selling some velganos carries for other servers players by putting level 1 gems to sell in the AH, can I get banned? - #2 by Fostus)
-
We are NOT allowed to use the auction house to send gold between servers (Is it okay to move gold from server to another server in the same region? - #7 by Fenrirskoll)
-
We have previously been allowed to use the auction house to move gold between servers (TOS questions regarding server gold sharing - #7 by Jormungandrh)
We are allowed to have multiple accounts, and share between them, but not multiple rosters?
If this is the case, why limit adventure islands, and the blooming mokokos event to be per account, and not per roster? It seems to me that this limitation only makes sense to prevent players from making a character on every server to take advantage of the free daily/weekly gold on offer, which is pointless if we’re not allowed to transfer gold between them.
If someone wants to play multiple rosters, and funnel the resources to their main, why not allow them to do it without having to go through the task of creating two accounts? If it’s in the spirit of maintaining fair play, why is mailing gold between multiple accounts exempt from the same restrictions?
Allowing people to create multiple accounts and mail between themselves on the same server, but punishing people for transferring gold between their characters on different servers through the auction house doesn’t make sense. If this is all on the grounds that it’s “an unintended use of the market,” then it should be enforced universally, or not at all.
If paying for a bus using the auction house is allowed (literally using the auction house to transfer gold to a character on a different server,) and mailing gold from one of your accounts to another is allowed, then it doesn’t make sense to limit usage of the auction house to send gold between rosters on different servers.
It seems to me that it only makes sense to either:
-
Allow players to mail between servers,
-
Allow players to use the auction house to move gold freely between their rosters, or;
-
Explicitly disallow players from having multiple accounts and sharing between them.
