ironic the ones saying my reading comprehension is -100, yet players failed at reading and understanding the event.
at the end of the day, it’s hard to sympathize with those who climb over a fence into a bear exhibit, get attacked, then blame the system for not having even higher walls, while not reading or ignoring signs.
let me know if you find anything that indicates that these rewards/missions are strictly t3.
Are you for real??
as for the t3 image, if you hover over the actual item, it tells you that the chest can be claimed AFTER you reach 100%, hence the wording above it, “Notable Rewards”, not “Instant Rewards when you accept the event.”
It’s mind baffling how you tried to spin this around. Notable Rewards? Instant Rewards lol??? AFTER reaching 100%? LOL how much more moronic can you get?
So, to your logic, instead of instantly getting T3 mats, I need to finish these missions 100% TO GET T3 mats. And somehow this means the missions are for T1 characters LOL? AND you also somehow get T1 T2 horning mats and buff chance? Wow you truly are connecting the dots there lmao
Brilliant man, great detective skills you have shown here. Instead of a single line of text saying “express your T1-T2 character into T3”, let’s write nothing and put up T3 mats in the chest, then leave the players to make their own conclusions.
LostArk can use more people like you for sure, making the peasants think ya LOL?
It would only be irony if I spoke for everyone but I only speak for myself and I never once said that I had made this mistake. I play on 2 servers and on 1 of those servers I have only 1 character so obviously I selected the pass on it. On the other server I have 6 characters and I selected the pass on my alt… What I wish I had done was waited for the feiton pass to drop and boosted a Glaivier on the server that I have 1 character on and claimed express that way. So it’s not a big deal for me but I’m sticking around to see if AGS manages acknowledge this. If they do, there might be a chance for me to try out Glaivier with the express pass. Which would be nice because I actually thought my feiton pass got bugged but it was just a day late.
So yeah your struggle with reading comprehension has me nothing to do with me. Don’t @me anymore please and thanks.
As someone who didn’t personally make this mistake. I can still see how it could be made. Yes it is partly the fault of the player for not putting 2 and 2 together. But the fact that this error can be made in the first place is due to bad design. If you’re a game dev and you want to spare yourself from a heavy load of tickets. You probably shouldn’t have such holes in your design. The hole was bad enough but the list of reasons why people climbed into this hole is also not entirely the players fault.
Here are a few of the reasons why someone would make this mistake.
The number 1 reason: If a mistake can be made, it will be.
Lack of information on the UI.
Image
Ambiguous wording in the patch notes.
T3 materials image unintentionally deceived some people.
Image
Not reading patch notes (Not everyone reads patch notes since most games tend to be more failproof or have a lot more notices, warnings and information in game.
Not getting the Feiton pass on the same day as the Glaivier drop.
Limited Information on the event before it went live.
Some people could not select the event on their ilvl 850s alts (No clear proof given)
All of the above + the excitement to just play the new class and rush into the new zone.
No one in this thread is trying to push an anti AGS narrative. No one said this is a mistake everyone is making. People are just upset that they personally made a mistake and would like to know if there is anything they can do about it or if they are just SOL. If you have come to this thread just make people feel bad. You are not really adding anything to the conversation and you are not incentivizing AGS to do better long term. At least after this players will probably be more likely to double check everything and not just blindly trust that events will be failproof.
Not going to TL;DR this one because people don’t bother to read either way.
Ya, you are the dumb one lol, need me to remind you what you wrote?
There was a huge button that said “event information”
Thought so
I’m the dumb one but you’re the one that can’t figure out how to use an express pass LMAO. You couldn’t make this shit up if you tried.
I only have one T2 character by the time this event started, so I really could careless, ya I missed some T1 mats and it’s a bummer sure, but I don’t nearly have as much time anyway to run dailies on more alts (and there’s a feiton pass which skips most of T1 T2 anyway lol…)
Many of us have a real life to live, unlike you who clearly enjoys spending time trolling around a forum for no apparent reasons. You aren’t contributing to a viable solution, nor are you offering any valid point of views. You don’t gain extra in-game rewards, you clearly aren’t helping anyone for sure.
So what do you get out from this - people looking you up and wonder “wtf is wrong with this guy? Is he trying to get more attention or something”
Welp, internet trolls like you are why a good amount of people never bothered to create a forum account to interact with the community.
There, your first real recognition, enjoy every second of it, you need it
If I see the number of Threads and Messages related to this special-express mission, add to this that not everyone is even willing to come into the forum in the first place to write about it. I come also to the conclusion that yeah, every one of them is…
[sarkasm on]
too lazy to read the manual of the game (apparently the Patch notes)
Not able to think straight with the given information that this was only meant to their alts.
Has to be even helped by the devs by showing them the message in the bottom corner after the update that this is ‘best used’ on Alts. Even if this was clear in the first place.
And there was absolutely no room for improvement from the side of smile gate.
Or to make it short: Everyone who made this mistake is just dumb and unable to play games.
[sarkasm off]
First thing first, I didn’t make the mistake of picking my main for this express, but
I’ve read the patch notes, when the patch implemented and I log on to the game, even if I already read the patch notes, I was still confused looking at the Express Mission UI.
My thoughts at that time when looking at the UI was, “So, I should just choose any char with iLvl 1k above?”. This was because the only explanation on the UI was Choose character Lv. 50 or above.
Not sure about it, I then checked forum, open patch notes again and yeah, saw lots of people made mistakes on choosing the char.
So what I’m wondering is, do all people that tell people to read etc doesn’t even feel confused even a bit when u’re faced at that UI on day one after the patch implemented?
Please be considerate to those who made the mistakes, if it’s really that easy to understand, no one/less people would make a mistake. And as we can see on this forum, there’s lot of them.
I would really love to see the percentage of players in the first hour after the release of the update who choose their main character to benefit from the special-express mission. Even if they had Alts where it would make more sense to do so.
[sarkasm on]
And therefore were too dumb to read the patch notes before they make their decision.
[sarkasm off]
I read it, and understand it when reading it.
But then when I look at the actual UI in the game, it kinda confused me is what I say hence I double check again.
Dude just imagine in this picture, they added a “best used for ilvl 1000 or below” on the Event Description section instead of a stupid “Complete each mission to receive reward.”
Just imagine how this entire situation wouldn’t even exist with just one additional sentence.
It’s so much more obvious that devs clearly fked up this event when the precaution that could have avoided this entire fk up is soooo easy to implement - adding one sentence.
Like the devs actually assumed that I was going to read a scroll of patch notes before logging onto a new patch with excitement just to play correctly. But at the same time, they also assumed that if I wasn’t notified of the fact that I need to do tasks to earn rewards, I would probably rage quit. Bloody well done devs. You understood me perfectly.
Because some people don’t have alts. Or should they not be able to participate at all? It is not optimal to use it on a T3 character, but it is possible, as there are some rewards even that character can benefit from. Just not the majority of it.
