the logical action is to claim it on 1 character and leave the other mails alone
when i learned that we got on every character i was thinking if i should claim them all
i decided to claim and use them fully aware of the idea if they decide to revert the action they would likely put me in the negative
i did it completely aware fo the possibility that it’s not intended and with the full acceptance of the consequences

Nah who has negative Pheon mostly are people who spend money to open character’s slot.
That’s called an exploit according to what AGS was referring to, but no, players like myself that had 10 characters during the time received mails for each character. I claimed it on all of them accumulating up to 100 pheons. I used about half of it and yes AGS did minus it from my account also but I didn’t go negative because I already had about 100 pheons siting in my account.
-Players who went negative end up spending all of the pheons they received from the mails and they never had any to begin with or probably used it all with their own pheons.
-Players who went negative due to knowing the exploit opened up more character slots and received more pheons. Idk if it’s true but some say you can’t claim mails at low level.
But lets summarize this, the reason they re-opened all the server again because of “players feedback and backlash” they decided to not remove the pheons from players. After the server re-opened there was more backlash about fairness and equality about the pheons. This backlash lead them to see an impact on the community and dig more into data for the “exploit.” Then after the patch update for reaper a lot of players saw negative pheons in their account. There again we see more backlash and negative feedback from the community. So who are we to blame here if only we keep our mouth shut? LOL

No, I mean they already have the charecters. Not that they open it to receive the mail. It’s €8 per slot but 30 Pheons cost €9,4 and 10 Pheon cost € 2.35. Why should they waste €8 to receive €2.35 reward?

Given the pheons WERE free, it influenced the perceived cost of the purchase. Then after such purchase, the pheons were turned to have normal price.
If done intentionally, this would be very scummy. This was probably done by “unintentionally”, just fucking up even simply things AGS/SG style. But it’s really not an excuse anymore, they do it often and with consistency.
I guess you didn’t know ags very well and how stinky they can be with pheons. You get 100 pheons in total and you didn’t find that sus? I have nothing to say. If you spent your pheons after they deemed it was safe to use then im sorry but otherwise i have no words
Actually, that is the only reason I am triggered 
I had both plans to buy more pheons, gold to do so for tripods , and I had pheons from before. But… I bought tripods for some char, and still had those 100 left. So after Roxx said “oh we’re letting you keep em” I was happy, eager and impulsive and bought the gear for my 1430 gunslinger that I had plans to MAYBE play, since it seemed fun to play and it was cheap to gear as TTH - if you looked away from the pheons that is 
So when we got em, I bought a set of gear , and got screwed over, and instead the char now gives a bitter taste 
If not for this, or if I actually used this for more tripods and not impulse etc, I’d totally not care about the pheons. And my biggest problem isn’t really with the gold or with the pheons, but the fact that they actively lied ( Misspoke, miscommunicated , found new info. To me that does not matter. To me it was an active lie, since I had a message and they , without a warning, just did a full turn after the downtime)

how is it logical to claim on 1 character when all character have the mail? the logical action is to open the mail on all character if all character have the mail, both mistake and intended were to take into consideration but its not illogical to open all mail you got on all character. your logic is more flawed then mine to be honest it can only come from poor intellect to deny one possibility and make yours the only logical answer
This only being done with Pheons, the bread-and-butter cash shop item, is no coincidence and was absolutely not unintentional. This was done strictly for USD, and their Q4 earnings report.
The obvious solution was to true everyone up to 240 (the maximum character slots), and simply hand out less event Pheons for a few months. It would balance out. The only reason to choose another option is greed and malice.
Instead they lied, trying to convince the community these players exploited and punishing them is “fair” because it only affects 5.8% of players.
There is nothing unintentional about any of this. They do not deserve the benefit of doubt.

i think the exploit ags is talking about is supposedly some ppl were able to create new char and reget new mail, wich would make it possible to have more then 240 pheon but i dont believe them at all on that i think its straight up bullshit trying to justify the downtime when there was no exploit and only a mistake from them

Whatever is happening behind the curtains, lets hope AGS learned something from this and be able to tackle this issue a lot better in the future.

Just another way for you to say they wasted their pheons on stuff that didn’t matter… if you aren’t spending your pheons on stuff you need to which you get to keep the item. Maybe don’t waste pheons ?
No. Oh. If only that was what you are trying to say, then yes they kinda did. I just wasn’t talking about the resource efficiency and strategic desisions of some players.
What the players do or don’t do, can’t justify anything AGS does. By defination.

It’s kinda like bait&switch but worse.
You go to a used card dealer and they show you something and then tell you it’s free. Your’re like OK and you take that since free is free. Two day later they send a bill about your free car, charging arm and leg for it.
Bait&switch is from real world. This kind of thing can’t happen in real world, because it requires the merchant to be in very powerful position and with no consumer protection to shield them from.
Now fucked up as that is, the weird part here is large number of people, maybe even most, seem to think this is all OK.

Like said. No. I tried to emphasize the distiction. It’s not reasonable to think anyone brought stuff that doesn’t matter at all.
Everything relevant here, costs gold and pheons. If you get free pheons, it influences the cost.
You buy stuff, generally speaking, when the perceived value of the thing is in correct to this cost.
