"We are releasing skins at a faster rate..."

I mean realistically we wont be “catching up” in terms of skins KR has. People also seem to have this misconception that alot of skins are available all year round or something. I recommend you ask. KR player or visit yourself to see what KR Lost Ark shop is truly like.

Its not all that different, skins are generally rotated and have limited timing to buy.

Sure we need more skins, but this idea that were going to “catch up” to KR with everything skin and aesthetic wise is just unrelastic.

But it is true, you can confirm it by yourself xD it’s actually a fact.

They already released more than 1 per month in NA.

Afaik they NEVER said they want to catch up to kr on skins (They said they wanted us in T3 which means they were talking about vertical progression)

Following your logic this means they released 33.3+ skins per year that means they released 3 skins sets per month which is 1 skin per week almost (You can confirm they didn’t released 1 skin per week, go check official LA kr webpage and read the patch notes)

There are more than a few skin lines or sets (whatever you want to call them) that have multiple different appearances per release. The animal skins for example have 7 unique appearances that released all together. (dog, cat, cow, chicken, rat, penguin, dinosaur)

Even though the chest only allows you to pick one, it’s still 7 different unique appearances, and each of those unique appearances has their own differences as well. (hats, sunglasses, jackets, accessories, etc.)

Making changes to skins or designing replacement skins that makes them less revealing is censoring them…. Im not sure how your processing this differently to whats actually being shown and said. There are standards to meet a mature rating it is the same reason some content (visuals such as cinematics) are different for us than for Korea. Because again standards have to be met.

For Lost Ark to keep its mature (+17) rating it cannot depict sexualised content or contain full or partial nudity since original Korean outfits contain partial nudity as described by ESRB as showing excess cleavage, or excess boob this would not meet the rating of Mature but Adults Only same can be said of the cinematic for affection with sasha had to be changed slightly to keep a rating of Mature rating by downplaying the sexual content we see vs what Korea get

These are literally NPCs in Punika on NA west server.
If that’s not considered “excess cleavage, or excess boob” I don’t know what is.

We call it, CULTURE filled of hope. :eyes:

From day one of the 3 day head start I was shocked at the lack of skins in the shop. Not much has changed since that day months ago. From what I see they are taking the least popular skins by sales numbers and dumping them on us when we are starved for choice. This ensures they get the most money out of them. Seems good on paper but i think they have lost out on way more money than they have gained with this approach. Flood the shop with skins. Give us like a year of skins from the KR version and let us get some variety in how we choose to look. Then you can trickle the rest of the “cool” skins out and squeeze every dollar out of us and still have an arsenal of skins to drip feed us.

At this point you could release a dozen of the lowest popularity skins from KR today and people would be happy just to finally have a decent selection (oh and please make them dyeable skins).

You could make the players happy, make tons of money AND make a ton of money still by releasing the “heavy hitters” at the current drip feed rate. Everyone wins.

The reason they are releasing skins slowly is simply marketing. Starve players with skins so that they will buy anything they throw at us.

Example: Omen skin release was an unpopular skin in Korea, but take a look at how many people bought it in Global because of the lack of skins.

If they release multiple skins at once or too frequently, some skins might overshadow others and player will hold back buying to wait for the ones they want.

True, but then people get frustrated, blow the forums up with posts, and many quit and won’t come back.

Rest in pepperonis to the person who decided not to have over a dozen skins on release when the population grew to 1.3m players.
