Not sure there is much more to say but, yes, feedback will always be listened to but the final decision is up to both companies. Roxx did a great job going a bit deeper into detail, but a gentle reminder that she’s on your side and just trying to bridge the gap between company and player.
She’s clearly on the side of the company that pays her, and anything she does for the players is to appease the players to the benefit of the company.
I’m sure all of you CMs mean well, and on a personal level maybe some of you even agree with the players on certain topics.
But let’s not pretend like you are some kind of pro bono consumer advocates here.
You are all employed and paid by AGS. You gather our feedback and give it to whoever is in charge of decision-making. Then we might get a couple of responses here and there if it’s Okay’d by the company.
It’s also mostly a very one-way traffic bridge, where players will draft multiple and sometimes lengthy and detailed topics to provide feedback and ask questions. At best they get a few lines in an Okay’d response with some nice words but very little actual substance. Most of the time it seems that it’s practically ignored and whatever was suggested ends up going in the complete opposite direction with very little explanation as to why. The only time that we got any sort of longer reply from the Team was the Amazon Games & Smilegate RPG Message From the Team, and that was seemingly only after a huge streamer (Asmongold) made multiple statements on his stream and in a Youtube video. We don’t even get the updates on monthly top issues anymore.
You keep telling us that our feedback matters, that you listen, that you understand, that you share in our frustrations and that you want to be brutally transparent and honest, but sadly I see very little of this in actual practice.
It’s very sad to see, because it seems that in Korea Smilegate actually practices what they preach.
The longer that this discrepancy goes on, the more the feeling that the western region is the neglected ugly duckling.
I don’t think a single cm working in ags reflects the requirements and responsibilities required.
Maybe the problem is that the gap between company and players is too big.
And players can’t modify their needs and desires so…
Not sure what kind of feedback you guys provide to both ags and smilegate. I don’t remember anyone saying they wanted your kind of woke version of the game with censor, drip feeding classes, content missing in game such as bridge etc (and before heroic raid etc), we can’t even create our super sexy characters models (both male and female) ! Maybe it’s time to stop being delusional and why not create a Players Council who’s gonna reflect the community needs and feedback and start working a bit with you guys so we can finally have some IMPORTANT features for once ?
With all due respect, I’d argue the business intelligence is not so intelligent if they believe doing the exact opposite of what was told and exactly what people don’t like at all will help the game. You e seen the backlash about the class releases since this anouncement. I’d even argue it’s the biggest complaints I’ve seen on this forum since the games launch. So that decision by itself can’t be so intelligent especially when even before this was anouncement people spoke out about being happy the classes were coming out faster so they can get their mains faster and the company confirming this pace. The whole point is for us to catch up to the other regions as that’s not only good for us but also for the company. People mostly complain when they care, if they didn’t care they wouldn’t mind anything.
I for own care, and it saddens me that i now think about quiting the game over a decision like this when I was really enjoying this game the most, i dropped other games especially to play it. The fact that because of this anouncement me and a huge portion of people already stopped or want to stop now is just sad and unnecessary.
Before all of these the posts you have been seeing most is people begging and asking for info about their classes being released. The forum was being spammed with these threads, this is a known fact yo anyone who has been browsing the forums. So somewhere SG/Amazon must know that it’s a main focus point for players. You must then also know that bringing out news that you’ll do the exact opposite would infuriate players. You need need to be an analyst or anything to see that it’s a bad idea.
It is understandable to be upset with smilzon’s incompetence but don’t personally attack cms. They are just body shields for the corporate overlords.

When Roxx says “blabla we decided this, even if 90% of feedback said exact opposite”
it can be translate “we, companies that want money thought it would be better for our salaries and shareholders that”
Roxx has the work of the messenger, risking their life when the message they deliver from a lord to another is quite… not the good one… and yes, we have to not get angry to her
But the anger generated by message will be there…
AGS and SG don’t listen our feedback, CM’s do, sure. but companies don’t care… And this problem around class release is not the first time for Lost Ark players can see this…
and the “long term health” is more than debatable, and feels more to try to get some empathy from community than anything else… But to get empathy, you (again, AGS/SG) have to show empathy first…
Because this argument is quite doubtfull… Building a dedicated playerbase based on more of the game quality is also a really good way to ensure a “long term health”…
Yes, releasing this or this class later will fight boredom a little. so avoid to get too soon in situation of the class release in KR can be good idea seen this way, also i rarely saw communities complaining about rare new class release on MMORPG… (here we don’t speak about new classes) But the “returning” players you hope include lot of people that leaves now due to this decision… And when you leave once, the chance you leave again is already greater. Even more true if you leave due to frustration, and the feel of not being respected as player and/or customer.
Currently when friends are asking me about LA, i am unable to sell the game… “a really excellent game really, but with a management at the same tier than gameforge or NCsoft” … just had to say this to get “ok, lol, so would be lost of time to play” While i would prefer so much to say “management at the same tier than SE with FFXIV” (far from being so bright… )
People did avoid Sword Of Legend Online (SOLO) release in west for a simple reason : published by gameforge. This is how strong how a game is handle can harm the whole game.

There were a change in demonform, we asked and we got a totally absurd answer based on a lie…
There is a will to see our version get fast to KR state… faster for content than classes because it is not impossible to see abrelshud in october, so when there would be 3 class left and not 2 as it was in KR (excluding aeromancer/femzerk) … Allowing to say that we have a slower class release than KR if this happen…
But more, you want to get fast on content, but why not giving the honing buff far earlier ? we went on the game version KR got for t3 release, but we had no alt, nothing added later to help given to us, while it would be a good idea to compensate the fact we didnt have alts…
And finally, this, twitter, reddit and forum are on the same side.
So yes, YOU (AGS/SG) don’t care feedback, and prefer the cashgrab strategy, than a long term health, because you prefer to milk players, than working on a dedicated and loving playerbase. By getting so many time the opposite way of your player base, you do exactly was is needed to get their hate instead of their love…
A hater will spite on you on twitter and in front of friends. A lover will defend you… Don’t need to have a 8 years psychology study diploma to know it. our first 25 years of life shows it well.
Which is better for long term health ?
The problem is not to have roxx on our side. Roxx can listened and show all love she can for player base. if in the end, we are not listened by decision maker, the result is exactly the same.
The biggest mistake of SG was to not release global from the start. Because now people are feeling greedy. Because some people already played months in other regions or saw the other player. I feel excited about the new class but I don’t feel that I need them to enjoy the game. I don’t want to main any of them because I didn’t even test them. I like the fact that not all the class are released too fast because new class will make me more engaged in the game for a while. I also feel like the game will win in the long term if they can teach patience to the people because once the pacing turns slow, they will leave like flies.
MMORPG are games that work on a constant flow of new content. Pace yourself and let them pace the content so we will all be here in one year, and that we will not have to wait 8 month for a new class when we catch up.
Now that I have express myself, I will be able to shitstorm the forum if they don’t listen to me. Noice.

Regardless of whose side the CMs are on, they are just postmans with no decision making authorities.
Sorry to put it so bluntly and its not an attack on the work CMs are doing. Managing the emotional health of the community is a big part of CMs work but their hands are truly tied when managment refuse to engage and consider players concerns meaningfully. I finally realised this because whatever feedback we have given are not acted on. And no, it’s not the fault of CMs even if I do rant to them and rage here too.
If anything, they are paid to take our shit so the management dun need to deal with it and can continue to make BUSINESS decisions that line their pockets with fk ton of cash. I hope everyone realises that’s what AGS and SG is about for the NA/EU version.
And there is the ester weapon on KR too. Go read about it. It’s not totally p2w, but it’s purely for whales and brings in fk ton of money for SG.
Is it a game breaker, no. Is it necessary for 90% of the players to have it, no. But why is it there? To stroke the ego of super gigawhales? No, its to line the pocket of SG with money.
I’m not saying private coys should not earn a profit. But its HOW u go about doing it.
Deliberately withholding honing buff which supposedly was released with valkas on KR is clearly a profit driven business decision.
I dare AGS/SG management and game design team to give the CMs a script to reply and proof us wrong when the players say this.

I don’t believe any blame falls on the CMs, CMs are merely messengers delivering feedback to the suits and developers and vice versa. The problem is the communication isn’t flowing smoothly both ways. It is clear as day that the players want classes faster, they are not content. I believe the thing in all this that many people are struggling to come to terms with is the reasoning. Slowing everything down is apparently supposed to be good for player retention, but despite multiple users referencing prime KMMO examples of why this method is destined to blow up in your faces, there’s nothing but crickets as a response. People want to know exactly how this is going to work.
Again, the CMs are messengers and are not to blame. But we are not all incompetent sheep and can see past the curtain that this decision is driven by only one thing: Money.
A healthy game is a game where devs listen to feedback. Korea players wanted the warrior model to be slimmer, something that affects absolutely nothing except the enjoyment for players, yet SG is actually working on this very minor detail to please players.
1 month between classes was already a pretty slow release schedule, people were even asking for 2 classes a month, these aren’t new classes. They’re already in the game, they are re releases of classes, shouldn’t be treated as “content” and yet knowing it would upset players it’s now 1 class every 2 months.
The game was released in an older version of the game that has multiple dead zones to milk players, there is no reason why the game couldn’t have come out later in a newer version other than profit loss. Yet a newer version of the game would please players, therefore providing a healthier experience for players.
CM’s might care about feedback idk, but SG/AGS suits definitely do not.
Roxx this was a poor post you have indirectly confirmed that the feedback we create on these threads is meaningless and has no impact on the game that we play. Thank you.
No according to Roxx feedback is considered not listened to. “Listened to” implies that we have been heard and steps are being taken to investigate or resolve the issues at hand.
AGS has only taken action against the bots once a month in the form of ban waves and we have told you multiple times this does not work.
We are not heard maybe pass this along to the company.
