Western version of Lost Ark is incredibly toxic compared to the KR version. Why? In KR they have API that can track somebody’s entire roster. If someone griefs or scams in our version, you never know if you would meet them again on their alt.
Besides in the worst case scenario they would have to rename just one character (compared to KR where they would have to rename every character in their roster).
Until we get the API I guess we just have to deal with scam buses, bidding disagreements in a bus, AFKs, mass reports to trigger autoban, sneaking 1370 friends into P3 Argos or “know mech reclear” lobbies where leader is first-timer and just wants to get carried instead of creating a learning lobby.
I can already see how some of you would argue in the comments how western Inven would be implemented, however it’s pointless to argue about that if we don’t have the API in the first place.
And I guess having API would be nice for auction house and leaderboards (so you can look up builds similar to PoE ninja), but that’s not the topic of this post.
It is much more toxic to allow people to be protected through anonymity than it is to publicly shame and blacklist bad actors with good evidence. We want the full Korean game experience, not some safe space western version.
applying to experienced or homework party without knowing the mechanics. if you join valtan without knowing how to do g1 orbs or you don’t have the vykas g3 safe spots memorized it’s a report. if a gunlancer or destroyer keeps taunting vykas g1 purple boss out of nineveh patterns it’s a report. players who are not comfortable with every mechanic should join half exp or learning parties instead.
matchmaking guardians without proper gear. some basic expectations are 33 for yoho, 333 for deska, and 3333 for kungelanium with correct stats. if you don’t have the gear you should buy the bus and not ruin the experience for other players. NA culture of press matchmaking = it’s ok if you end up carrying other deadweights needs to stop.
crashing a bus for no explainable reason and not refunding. there should be absolutely no reason an argos bus should ever crash and if it does it means you are bad and should not have been bussing in the first place. valtan does have some annoying mechs that must be timestopped in g2 (of which you have a limited amount of) but a g1 crash is pretty much unforgivable.
not throwing destruction bomb in valtan g2. we need the chat log for this but if everyone throws 1 corrosive + 7 destruction + 9 lv 1 weak point is a guaranteed armor break. if his armor does not break you have impostors.
not throwing battle items in guardian raid matchmaking. conventional wisdom says #1 flares and #2 and #3 phero when required for fights like yoho and velga. #1 should still flare on deska to save time. party finder you follow pf rules.
anything that can be conceived as wasting time without reason given some minimum standard should be reported and as long as people check the reports our raid lobbies will be filled with less cheapos and impostors.
Player on our version are already toxic enough without the api.
People get straight up sorted on roster level and stuff.
The api would just end in a full check like FFlogs.
More toxicity as without cause the most public raids would require x alts on x IL and shit like that.
