Again, why does the balance need to be different between NA/EU and every other successful region? Answer that with a good, concise argument and I’ll change my mind.
Every single Korean player has agreed with the nerfs? Spoke with all of them, did you? I also played on KR and I am vehemently against having different balance between regions.
Yes, the mechanics can be learned in T3. That’s true, however, the same problems these people are running into in T1 & T2 will present themselves in T3. If the solution for T1 & T2 is to nerf these things, what is the obvious solution for T3 when they encounter the same issues? And feel free to extrapolate this to any future content as well.
Go to the reddit subreddit. Plenty of people saying its a good thing, content creators as well saying it’s perfectly fine. These nerfs do not matter in the long run. Once you are t3 the game changes.
That’s what people can’t understand. The reason why they are nerfing the first raids is the real problem, since it’s about people complaining. It’s been only three weeks since the relase date, and Roxx’s argument was the low success rate, when tons of players are still playing at their own pace. If these players that were complaining get a free pass to T3, they’ll ask for even more nerfs. Funny enough, many are ignoring the nerfs for the abyssal dungeons, which is even worse.
I am still on the boat that a majority of NA/EU players are not going to be as invested as Korea. So does it really matter? This forum is at best 5% of the player base, a vocal minority whether you like that or not. Most people will not care about these nerfs, and it will allow players to progress faster. Even if you don’t like that, it won’t change. The hard core players have t3 content to really dive into. The ones who these nerfs will help, are prob never even going to do that content. Similar to final fantasy where people don’t even attempt the hard raids yet login daily.
Already stating why it’s actually bad.
TL/DR: People get free pass to T3> Same people complain and ask for more nerfs> Either they quit or nerfs are done > even more people quiting, so this means less players to group up
Learning curve should be steady and not feel like a truck is going to roll on you when you hit T3.
According to Steam over 80% of players haven’t even reached 302 gear score. Saying it’s a vocal minority is largely irrelevant in that case because you’d also be talking about a vocal minority asking for nerfs.
What is your response to Korea giving you a 1302 character without ever playing the game? I think if smilegate has something like that implemented, they are able to balance the game to how they choose. Clearly they believe the mechanics can be learned starting at t3 without ever playing any t1-t2 content. Roxx has already stated, they aren’t the ones doing the nerfs, smilegate is. Trust in what they are doing, they know better from running the game 2-3 years.
If they are nerfing based off of stats then they might know more than you about what they feel needs to be nerfed. If smilegate really wants to fast track us to t3 in order to be equal to Korea, then they believe the userbase is falling behind for them to continue to push out more content. With the announcement of Argos, we had players complaining they were not even t3 yet.
The problem is (and I’m not making this up) people are reaching end game content without even using engraving stones or having more negative passives than the ones are better for their classes. I don’t have the screenshots here, but you can find them in the main thread. The thing is, these same people that don’t even care about why they need a 1302 gear or how to maintain it, are asking for nerfs. You get people saying that you are a hardcore/ego hungry person because someone is against these abyssal nerfs, but it’s not even about being toxic or anything. I hope things are for the best.
I agree that people do not understand the engravings and even further the combat stats as well. But they do not learn this in t1 or t2. Its not even taught or introduced to us. That is on smilegate, the current best way to learn about combat stats or engravings is to watch guide. Which is again where the conversation of the nerfs being needed because people are reading guides. Most t3 players in NA/EU are doing it for bragging rights over being better from what I’ve seen. Only the true core hardcore players are focusing on min/max already.
I agree, the game should do a better job on telling how to focus on your engravings and how to actually upgrading them (unless it’s the case you are mentioning), because it’s tricky at first and it’s an important part of your gear. Like I said, I hope things are for the best and we don’t end up getting even more nerfs that are not needed.
Exactly, and the community will once against revolt about it. “They wont know mechanics” " I had to work to get here" “I paid 5k to get to t3 and its free now?”. Those same people will rage until someone says hey look Korea has it too. Then they will be glad NA/EU is staying true to the original. Its all baby rage over nothing.
It’s completely different for two reasons. Firstly, players will have had time to settle and learn the game with the majority of players having made it to T3 (it’s still a requirement by the way). And secondly, most importantly, it’s the same as every other region.
Wait. So the people who did not learn how to maintain there gear, Some how got to T3 and you are complaining. Fuck I would be impressed. They most be mechanical gods then. Hell T3 content is a borderline joke, T1/T2 make that shit look like weenie hut junior. Both dungeons can be face rolled, Zero mechanics, And are laughable. I have more respect for T1/T2 players then T3 players. Its been a soonze fest the entire time.
