I played around with dying the Lawmaker Set on my Bard just before the maintenance today and noticed some really weird things happening. The latter issues kind of threw me off to the point of confusion and regret…
Firstly,
In the dye interface, setting the colour to #FFFFFF allows the colour to be applied without consuming any reagents. For example, I could change any option from the default, and then “unchange” it and everything would show up pure white with the “Apply” button available at no cost. I suspect that this happens to other equipment too but didn’t have anything else to test with.
Secondly,
Also visible from the above screenshot: the glowing bluish jewels on Lawmaker Harp A become red the moment any dye options are changed. Presumably, this is the effect that belongs to Lawmaker Harp C which normally has red jewels. Unsure if this is consistent behaviour with any other weapon but it obviously shouldn’t be happening.
Thirdly,
There seem to be a couple of weird inconsistencies baked into the sets themselves and while they might be intentional, it really feels like they shouldn’t be:
Set A has blue jewels and a yellow lightning effect on the left arm.
Set B has yellow jewels and a red lightning effect on the left arm.
Set C has red jewels and a blue lightning effect on the left arm.
Set A is also missing numerous chains and jewels that the other two sets have.
These last issues feel like pretty serious ones because I suspect that I’m not the only one who ended up getting thrown off after making my decision, especially given how difficult it is to preview the gear. If it is not intentional, people will have made decisions based on incorrect information that - if amended in the future - they may end up regretting. On the other hand, if it is intentional, then it’s just confusing all around.
