Not sure if its a bug but you can get the welcome rewards by going and completing a short 2-3 quests on a character of the opposite gender after your initial visit on your main. Then you can move the boxes of rewards from the quest / welcome reward to main
tldr; you need to FULLY complete the island for the welcome reward

@Roxx This is not entirely a bug, there’s a hidden quest where you need to do Fomona island questline with a female AND a male character to claim the welcome challenge, I think the bug is have a hidden quest where you need to know that as a welcome challenge.

I did this with my main with no result, then I went there on an ALT and completed the quest in two minutes and got the reward! My main is male and alt female if that helps as some people said you need to do on male and female chars

If you are lucky and have a female character as an alt. You can complete the quest on that alt and just log back in on your main and claim everything.
Stuff you get awarded from the quest on the female character is still roster tradeable. So you lose nothing in the end and will be able to claim the welcome challenge.
All you need is a female character though. It’s a pain but It’s a workaround for now…
