Without talking about the few things like the big Magic Point Regeneration which are only for the beta. (I guess ?)
I found the PVE in general (mobs, dungeons, tournament in Changhun…) a bit easy. I didn’t give a try to the PVP.
What are your thoughts about that ?
Pve needs a serious hand on the matter, it lacks a lot of punch and epicness, especially world fights and dungeons, almost dropped the beta leveling, it was really boring… but the starting “endgame” lvl 50 was a lot of fun, still a lil too easy tho.
pvp is a mess, but thats korean pvp for you, and its not that bad compared to other pvp corean games. can be quite enjoyable too.
i have played this game prior to this beta and have to say this was actually the “harder” version of leveling. other versions have loot boxes per 5 levels or so that give you a new epic weapon that trivializes the content. i think its best to learn the story but not to take the questing system prior to 50 as any type of challenge of any kind as it will not be adjusted. raiding at end game is hard and takes alot of coordination and skill.
This is the most balanced mmo pvp I’ve played in a long time.
I started playing on RU two weeks before beta and the leveling is actually harder in NA beta. I saw someone mention some kind of damage boost but you can tell. After playing on RU then to the beta and back to RU I was I do a lot of damage now. You never really feel in danger and you kind of blow through everything.
I reached only lvl 41 but leveling PvE seemed like a cakewalk. Oneshoting groups of enemies without the need to position properly is fun but that’s my experience so far.
In terms of PvP it’s rewarding and lots and lots of fun. I probably spent close to 85% of my playtime in the so called proving grounds everyone is talking about (wink wink PvPers). I love that it’s equalized and that most of time the better player wins but there are some issues regarding balance. There are skills that nobody uses and that’s okay since it’s up to us to decide what kit bring to PvE and what kit bring to PvP.
The problem is that some classes have a WAY harder time standing their ground than others. For example a battle master if im not mistaken has only one attack that is protected with super armor and when compared to blade who has super armor on half of her spells it just looks silly. If a battle master and a striker engaged one another 4 times in a quick manner then the battle master doing the best he can will be knocked away or stunned in 3 of 4 times because he simply lacks super armor on most of his attacks despite being a melee dps. This scenario would be okay for demonic since it has lots of ranged engage options that doesn’t require super armor to be effective.
Amazon wont be allowed to touch the balance of classes at all, any thing like that would be up to smilegate.
