i read the patch notes and i saw * Increased honing success rate by 10%. in t3 honing part. i know it doesnt mean now ill hone my weapon with %11 chance but what does it exactly mean? until 1415 or until 1370?
There’s a dozen or so threads about this already, we are waiting on a CM response to help clarify that line.
Assuming we don’t get a response before tomorrow, in-game will be a sure fire way to find out.
ah sorry then i couldnt find any when i search like “%10” and “honing” title on forums. ill try to check them. thanks a lot
It means we smokin copium until tomorrow bro
Im pretty sure it means that any 1302 gear between honing level 1-15 will have 10% increased chance to succeed. so if the chance was 25%, after this patch it will be 35%. I doubt that 10% increase will apply to t3 gear past +15. that would be ridiculous.
I mean, this does look like the global honing buff.
but * Basic success rate increased by 20% (max. 20%) when honing Tier 3 item level 1302 gear from level 1 to 15. it says %20 already increased, if they wanted to make it %30 they would say its %30
Re read the notes. The T3 1302 buff was added on the first line of Tier 3 giving a 20% buff. (meaning 25% becomes 45%). They then tagged on a seperate 10% buff at the end which is the confusion. They could of said Tier 3 1302 gives a 30% buff in that case. The T3 1302 buff was prior given already (and its 20%, NOT 10%).
At this point they probably dont even know either since they just got the data from smilegate. Until its confirmed i highly doubt it to be the global honing buff, that one should come at or around the clown release. Would be a nice surprise however.
Yup we all hard on that copium until tomorrow pretty much hehe

It’s for 1302 gear.
this 10% helps you out reaching the max % faster
if you start from a 10% up to 20% max with no enchant materials, you will reach this 20% faster.
Rn if you fail 1 hone at 10% the next one will be at 11% cause it will give you 10% of the basic % you have.
It will be 20% in the next patch till 1370
I don’t really think this is too hard to understand
Because it’s a poorly worded text line that can me interpreted in different ways.
Obviously we’re not getting some +10% honing buff to infinity, that would be insane. However the way it was worded could have meant a few different things.
it’s not poorly worded, no one ever cared about reading what it shows you after you fail a hone.
It has the same exact phrase here
- it is worded a lot of time that these changes are for helping players to reach 1370, i don’t really know how people can assume otherwise
'… will aid players in advancing their characters to item level 1370. ’
Then why word it as artisan energy, instead of using 20% success rate and then 10% honing success rate. Word it as 20% artisan energy rate and 10% honing success rate.
I get what your saying, most of us are just on the copium since getting to 1370 has not been an issue for us in a long ass time.
Cause this change helps both things out if you can do some maths
Even so explaning this thing would be difficult anyways
Because they don’t read. It says that in the beginning of the text. Only thing it doesn’t specify is, if it’s for everyone or for the new players, since it’s written right after the mokoko challenge section.
Hope you know that if the buff is from 1302 - 1415 this statement is still correct.
It says in the patch notes “This update also includes a new Growth Support Effect which will aid players in advancing their characters to item level 1370”
