AGs/Smilegate cant do anything to fix this cause this is a player caused fear, people keep reading these forum threads about banned players and somehow just believe they are true even tho none of them can prove they didnt break the rules, ontop of that Roxx has gone out several times to adress this issue.
There is no way to differentiate between a real unfair ban where the player didnt do rmt or similar and a fake one. People need to stop just believing that every thread like this is real.
Believe what you want.
I wouldn’t go out of my way to post for a friend if I didn’t think his ban was a complete mistake.
The facts are so clear for his case. He sold a level 9 gem for 185K - this is the only “evidence” they have against him. Market price ranges anywhere from 180K to 200K - how can this be classified as RMT?
Until you experience it yourself or have one of your close friends hit with the same issue, you probably won’t believe this is happening.
Nothing new here. Hundreds of threads on this subject since launch and the general consensus within the community is that these people are just lying. As a result of this mentality AGS/SGR can basically get away with murder if they want to.
Sadly this is not something that is ever going to change without massive and very aggressive restructuring of the upper management at both AGS and SGR. As that is unlikely to ever happen I think it is best to just leave this matter to rest.
I completely agree. I wasn’t a firm believer that this would affect innocent players until this happened to my friend.
I’m just hoping to gain some traction from someone who can actually be of assistance, rather than these clowns over at AGS support who only know how to copy paste a template response.
Very few would, due to some terror campaign people did regarding RMT yet none of the legit players I know who sell these gems got affected nor even with buses nor anything. They still somehow happy playing.
The only report which I read and had valid info about it, had way more info and full message from support with dates and all that stuff because of all the misinformation these forums spread. In fact, their “RMT” claim also took in count the market tax for selling an item which is deducted when the item is sold.
Also gotta keep in mind these people at support just have guidelines to follow and work with that, I doubt they even have anything but a page that reports some basic info from the person and done.
Hopefully it can get fixed if no RMT was involved.
NGL, this is sus on so many levels. There are a lot of my guildies, that sell highly priced accs, including me with few lucky drops and we never had issues like this. I’ve also knew people that gambled on lvl9 gems to get lvl 10 and succeeded and sold for much more profit. Still in-game without any “vacation” from game. If your friend really wasn’t involved in RMT then I feel sorry for him, but these bans do not come out of nowhere.
We’re on the same stage as you. A group of friends who have multiple 1445+ alts and we just run raids and buses to earn gold.
I’ve sold a couple of decent accessories and even a level 9 gem myself just the other day, and nothing has happened to me. But this instills fear in me, because I know that any moment, I could just be hit with a “Your account is suspended” message because some RMT gold seller has bought my gem.
What frustrates me is the fact that this ban came out of nowhere. We’ve progressed our accounts so far that an RMT trade for 185K gold to risk it all just isn’t worth it when we can make this gold in a week or two just by doing our weeklies.
The appeal team clearly states that their evidence against my friend is the transaction for 184999 gold, which is the price he sold his Lv 9 gem at.
Absolutely baffled.
If your “friend” has ever bussed a bot in oreha or any content and received gold then they have flagged rmt gold and by selling the gem and receiving an excess amount of gold which with a lot of the gold being rmt anyways they’ll get flagged for a check and then boom rmt gold gone rip gg. just a FYI
I also want to mention I have said this in the past and will continue to say it.
RMT gold is extremely cheap right now 30$ for 100k gold.
ppl WILL be tempted.
and more of these threads will continue to pop up.
Regarding your post. Those autoflags are staples of many games, including new world. Back when they had to deal with fishing bots were a thing, they developed a system where it tracks your estimated fish per hour/level and would set some abnormal values in order to ban your ass.
The same happens for protection against duping, you have a threshold of how much gold you can generate within a certain time frame (a matter of seconds or even less), in order to detect gold being generated outta nowhere. Usually, the only people with deep understanding of how these systems operate are Devs and exploiters (which every game with RMT has, trust me), and not general knowledge.
So the issue here is that most likely not even AGS has details about how exactly this is coded, or exactly how it works. They’ll report SG if too many reports appear and then devs will take a look, but thats all. And the other potential problem is that we live in the hopes that the excellent developers over SG were reasonable when deciding what exactly gets you banned, and how much.
I do have my suspicions with Lost ark autoflags, but its hard to get concrete info when every banned brilliant individual makes assumptions about the reasons they were banned. “I ate jelly beans the day i was banned, so its surely that damn jelly that flagged me!” sorta thing.
my conclusion was that there is no point in trying to figure out the gold threshold of gems and just sell them while <7, and worry more about not being reported, cause thats the real headache if you are into shady business.
The thing is that you wont really hear much about those that get banned, because they cant post on forum, or their topic gets instantly locked.
As for your solutions, that not really much of a solution - its basically say " dont sell expensive stuff ", but you gotta sell acessorries and gems ( especially if you try to get lvl 10 gem).
Imagine getting banned for playing the market
In a way, its like when someone accuses you of hacking when you dsetroy someone in pvp. Its in a way, like a compliment. Like you are so good you got accused or being a hacker
And if i were to get banned for RMT, that would be quite funny - for out of all people that play lost ark, i have the most ironproof armor against being accused of RMT probably out of all players.
My ultra insane Potato pc. Its so bad, few weeks ago i went to Chaos Gate, and before loading finished and my game unlagged, the boss was already killed. And yes, i entered right when it spawned
I dont like being way too strong and i play solo semi self found(i basically work with stuff i drop, rather than buying gear from auction house.). Only rarely i buy acessorries, altough i started to gear up alts a tiny bit lately. And for main, i bought 3 acessorries - total price about 3K for all of them And i have about 1100 pheons that were all given out for free.
In fact, i am so dirt cheap F2P i am unwilling to buy even another character slot.
F2P ladder baby.
Oh,+ i have 5 zerks and a paladin.
If i get banned, you will know the automated system is in place lol. Altough its not too likely, as if i get lvl 10 gem ( getting there) i will most likely just use it anyway, since i swap gems between characters(5 zerks power).
As a reminder, trying to appeal or attain information on a suspension or ban within the forums is not effective, as forum staff does not have the tools required to look into player accounts, bans, or appeals, and therefore cannot assist or investigate. Please reach out to Customer Support to for more details on the status of an account or ban.
