Don’t use AHK to snipe gems XD
I love how Amazon points out that arguing with them won’t change the outcome, then comes back with 3 different reasons for banning you.
It’s so insanely stupid yea. A while back I got lucky, and got 400k+ worth of accessories drops in 10 days, and after selling them I’ve just been worrying if I’m gonna get banned for it… This should not be a thing player needs to worry about while playing the game.
This needs to changed .
Why the seller gets punished for something he has no control over , it should be the buyer.
If they going to take the gold out from the account , they should also give back the gem to the seller , and punish the buyer.
Or the bots can ban every single legit player like that in the game , if they decide to .
I’m glad I haven’t got anything worth big gold in the game yet , but with such bans I doubt I’ll be trying selling it.
If its not trending on social media = irrelevant. Until some streamer or someone with clout gets ban for selling a gem no ones gonna care.
Things like this is very bad optics for Lost Ark and AGS in general. I hope they come up with better mechanism for catching bots.
According to the last comment, roxx said that there are never false bans and false bans occur at a very low rate, and most of the bans are banned because they are related to RMT transactions. because do not forget that hundreds of gems are sold and no one else is affected by this situation. Just because one out of 100 people was selling gems, it doesn’t show that it’s a wrong ban, because the other 99 people should have been affected in the same way, maybe you’re covering up what you rmt. If you are innocent, they will remove your ban because in cases where false bans occur, when you submit a ticket for appeal, they should lift your ban if they do not have any proof etc. I hope you can solve your problem as soon as possible. Finally, regardless of whether the bans are actually related to rmt or not, it’s not the players fault here. because when a player decides to sell a valuable item in the auction house, he does not have the option to check the rmt gold or not, and he is not in control, and when someone else buys the valuable item he has listed in the auction house and there is no way for him to know whether the gold that comes to this listing person is rmt gold or not. that’s why amazon has the right to give detailed information to the players. league of legends support teams were pretty good. They were not giving automatic answers to the questions you asked, they were really detailed information and manually answered by a real person. amazon support teams need a lot of work to improve. maybe there is a problem with their support team because they are not game developers.
I’ve sold both a level 9 scouter sync gem for around 180k and a desperate 5 heavy 3 swift spec for 200k as well recently still good no ban. Scouter gem was sold when scouter came out.
the buyer probably rmt, so your friend received rmt gold. and so based on ags point of view your friend deserve the ban
your buyer is not an rmt player. so you didn’t received rmt gold.

but did you get banned?
AGs/Smilegate cant do anything to fix this cause this is a player caused fear, people keep reading these forum threads about banned players and somehow just believe they are true even tho none of them can prove they didnt break the rules, ontop of that Roxx has gone out several times to adress this issue.
There is no way to differentiate between a real unfair ban where the player didnt do rmt or similar and a fake one. People need to stop just believing that every thread like this is real.
You’re right.
The fact that they banned him because he is now in possession of RMT gold is ridiculous. Was completely outside of his control.
Believe what you want.
I wouldn’t go out of my way to post for a friend if I didn’t think his ban was a complete mistake.
The facts are so clear for his case. He sold a level 9 gem for 185K - this is the only “evidence” they have against him. Market price ranges anywhere from 180K to 200K - how can this be classified as RMT?
Until you experience it yourself or have one of your close friends hit with the same issue, you probably won’t believe this is happening.
Nothing new here. Hundreds of threads on this subject since launch and the general consensus within the community is that these people are just lying. As a result of this mentality AGS/SGR can basically get away with murder if they want to.
Sadly this is not something that is ever going to change without massive and very aggressive restructuring of the upper management at both AGS and SGR. As that is unlikely to ever happen I think it is best to just leave this matter to rest.
I completely agree. I wasn’t a firm believer that this would affect innocent players until this happened to my friend.
I’m just hoping to gain some traction from someone who can actually be of assistance, rather than these clowns over at AGS support who only know how to copy paste a template response.
People is not gonna believe you here.
Very few would, due to some terror campaign people did regarding RMT yet none of the legit players I know who sell these gems got affected nor even with buses nor anything. They still somehow happy playing.
The only report which I read and had valid info about it, had way more info and full message from support with dates and all that stuff because of all the misinformation these forums spread. In fact, their “RMT” claim also took in count the market tax for selling an item which is deducted when the item is sold.
Also gotta keep in mind these people at support just have guidelines to follow and work with that, I doubt they even have anything but a page that reports some basic info from the person and done.
Hopefully it can get fixed if no RMT was involved.
That is because we know a LOT of them are lying, so in LOA you are guilty until proven other wise ![]()
Another one of these threads where it eventually turns out the guy was RMTing all along?
Can we move on from these made up stories? RMTers need to figure out another excuse, the gem thing is so last month
Yeah that level 7 gem is sus. I haven’t seen incorrectly priced gems in ages, maybe due trading bots sniping them out instalty.
NGL, this is sus on so many levels. There are a lot of my guildies, that sell highly priced accs, including me with few lucky drops and we never had issues like this. I’ve also knew people that gambled on lvl9 gems to get lvl 10 and succeeded and sold for much more profit. Still in-game without any “vacation” from game. If your friend really wasn’t involved in RMT then I feel sorry for him, but these bans do not come out of nowhere.
We’re on the same stage as you. A group of friends who have multiple 1445+ alts and we just run raids and buses to earn gold.
I’ve sold a couple of decent accessories and even a level 9 gem myself just the other day, and nothing has happened to me. But this instills fear in me, because I know that any moment, I could just be hit with a “Your account is suspended” message because some RMT gold seller has bought my gem.
What frustrates me is the fact that this ban came out of nowhere. We’ve progressed our accounts so far that an RMT trade for 185K gold to risk it all just isn’t worth it when we can make this gold in a week or two just by doing our weeklies.
The appeal team clearly states that their evidence against my friend is the transaction for 184999 gold, which is the price he sold his Lv 9 gem at.
Absolutely baffled.
