What item level do casual / hardcore gamers have?

I think writing/saying that someone can’t read is an insult (depending on their sensitivity), even if it’s their fault for missing out on details (everyone makes mistakes, although there are some who claim they never do).

Right with you on this. If you have more than 250 hours in game, you are not a casual.

Just because a lot of people on this forum have 1.5k plus does not make you a casual because you have 450 hours. Everyone forgets that the people on the forum only represent about 1% of the population and it’s the higher end population, not the lower or middle end of the player base.

So the gaming definition of casual is different from the Real World definition of casual.

Gaming definition of casual means you are not a min maxer and don’t really care to beat the hardest end game content for yourself. You would rather do horizontal content make your guy look cyoot and get carried through said endgame content. Time invested has nothing to do with the casual definition in games.

I would be curious to see the amount of players that have 2k hours that aren’t focused at all on min maxing at this stage in the game’s life.

I have over 2100 hours and right before reset hit my highest character at 1430. After that is a 1370 and 3 1340 and 1 at 1310 plus 9 others between W. Luterra and Rohediel. Still looking for a main.

2k hours is beyond hardcore that is literally playing the game 8 hours a day.

agreed, but someone said that time played isn’t an indication of casual/hardcore status. I think that’s nonsense, if you’re playing 8 hours a day, you’re hardcore.

both are correct.

if someone plays 8 hours a day they are by almost every definition hardcore. but if someone is afk for most of that then the time played isnt a very good indicator anymore.

the other definition of hardcore people use is a variant of “tryhard”. a person could play 8 hours a day but only do collectables and afk and then have a much lower ilvl main when compared to someone that played 4 hours a day but focused entirely on character progression.

What’s the reasoning behind this? Like for example, working for 8 hours is usually seen as normal.

because according every single study ever done. the average gaming time is something like 40minutes to an hour.

playing 8 hours in a day is a very dedicated player.

Damn, I wonder if I can use this logic with my partner. They read books like all day sometimes like 1000+ page books in less than a week or days.

I’ve been trying to get them to stop reading and go bar hopping/clubbing etc, but everyone just keeps telling them it’s super good they read as if it’s productive.

So maybe they’re a hardcore reader? and very dedicated too? It’s probably unhealthy to be taking in that many words per day, right?

it means you are addicted but that doesn’t mean you are a hardcore player. You could be doing horizontal content sitting in punika showing off your skin etc…

If it isn’t your job its an addiction.

Hardcore Gamer Certificate received from… (Subjective opinions, it’s a spectrum, it’s better to just give your hours and post your gaming mindset)

i mean playing 8 hours is pretty hardcore. hardcore doesnt mean good or well progressed just that you are very into it.

infact being addicted would probably mean you are hardcore more then anything else lol

Idk man, you’re probably not inspecting that many whales to be honest. I even think you’re basically just making up a story that fit well your subjectives assumptions.

I do see a lot of 1475+ players with questionmark setup, but I’ve very rarely seen a whale (or any 1500+) with bad engraving setup. Whales are usually copying other Whales from Korea and have standards 5x3 setup.

Generally ? I assume you understand the meaning of that word. Because I can guarantee you that 19 out of 20 players that have whaled their way to 1500+ with 5x3 engravings etc… will out dps you. I have no idea where in your mind you think that someone that spend a lot of real money into the game is necessary a bad players, but I can guarantee that you are wrong.

I just suggest you to check some of the Whales that fill Inferno Valtan lobbies. Most of the time you’ll see decent amount of theim trying to do Infeno and they’re probably much more skilled than you are, and will 100% outdps a “well-gear 1460” players. (They do Inferno because they’re bored and since they’re also whaling they usually don’t really bother doing dailies anyway).

I’ve seen some whale going ham on engravings with meme builds, but probably like 1 guy over all the whale that I’ve met so far both in my server and in Party Finder.

PS : Zeal is the definition of a Korean whale, he litterally have Ester weapon. It’s a competent player that play proper build, do hell modes, will probably outdps you if he were piloting your own character by a large margin. Saintone is a (baby)-whale, he have litterally whaled Aeromancer to 1580 in a week. Yet he’s a famouse Hell mode player that do have both Valtan and Vykas Deathless title, currently working on Kakul.

I’ve taken the most notorious, but in facts there are good chance that most whales in this game are probably much more experienced and skilled than you, or the average player, is.

1460, waiting for the scouter to go higher
It’s coming in september !!

Arcanist main, ilv 1480, I’m semi-hardcore

Do you have 5x3 engravings and atleast lvl 8-9 gems?
