Hello I started playing lost ark about 3 weeks ago and I reached 1370 on my first character recently, I been having a blast in the game but I am kinda unsure what to do about the inflation. Right now NA West’s blue crystal exchange rate is 3000 : 95, that makes it really difficult since I currently can only earn gold from abyssal dungeons and una tasks right now, I haven’t done Argos yet and I really don’t want to do a bus since I want to enjoy and experience the raid for the first time if possible, its a game and I just want to have fun. I ran out of Pheons from getting 3 x 3 accessories and I still really need blue crystals for card storage and inventory expansion. I can’t really see the situation getting better when i reach Valtan since only 3 weeks ago the price was at 2500 : 95.
Is there anything I should be doing right now or is AGS going to do something to control this? I got into lost ark because I heard it’s pretty free to play friendly for an MMO and respects your time, but if the situation won’t get better I can move on to another game but I just want to know so I can prioritize my time since I already invested a lot into this game.
I wouldn’t buy any acc for 1370, keep your gold and items for 1415 + (relic acc).
At 1370 you can get class engravings acc from Oreha and Argos, with a bit of luck with a nice stone and two 9x engravings you can easily get 3x3, which is more than fine even for Vykas normal, which is 1430.
Keep in mind you can exchange the Oreha items and Argo’s blood for acc as well, which are giving you even more chances to get the one you need.
If you are new and 1370, better stay away from the blue crystals, don’t use any pheons, and just stack them up, save up the gold for later.
AGS can’t really do anything, players are the one that control that exchange.
The fact is that it can only stop or increase, i can’t really see it going down to 1000/500 x 95 again.

how does that affect economy with a new legion raid into the scene? should cause deflation, but we have to wait and see, but not too optimistic.
A special progression event will accompany Scouter, we have to wait and see what the rewards are, maybe they’re helpful for new players (includes gold and pheons), maybe not. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s patch notes and Wednesday release to find out for sure.

you can still do Argos p1 with matchmade group (with few wipes) and argos p2 and p3 when you get the ilvl.
And you dont really need blue crystals. The gold you get weekly is enough for your daily Honing tries.
Like someone else said, you should focus on getting alts to 1370 and dont buy any accesories at all until 1415, right now so many people is overgeared for oreha they are doing free carries on mm and no bid free carry on party finder aswell and as much as i understand you want to play the game you really should be buying argos p3 busses since they are super cheap at this point and will give you a lot of accesories to get your 3x3 on top of more gold and mats than if you just do p1. About the blue crystalls as a new player forget they even exist, the cost its so high and will set you back weeks of progression if you decide to buy them.
oh and also totally agree with this. it’s quite easy to gear 2x3 for a new 1370 from oreha hard drops. with a few gold investment you can easily get 3x3.
if you play consistently and do the insane amount of events to provide mats that they’re constantly puting in the game, you’re ok to go, just make the content that you can make and you’ll hopefully earn some gold. Things are expensive right now, but remember that if you have luck and drop any good thing, you’ll make a lot as well, so don’t miss on daily events (chaos gate, field boss, etc)
Don’t aim for any legendary engravings until you’re getting close do Clown, the best thing to do in my opinion is to focus on your character until 1415 due to the honing buff, then make alts until you have a x-man roster with all your alts at 1370 (ideally it’d be 6, but if you wanna play less characters, it’s ok as well, just do it before keep upgrading your main)
The event that they seem to be releasing this week to help boost a character to 1415 with scouter should help you with this first upgrade to 1415, so wait to see what exactly it’ll be before honing more from tomorrow to wednesday.
Having a rooster to generate more gold is really important in the long run if you aim to make an end game build, that’s why I recommend you to start building your roster, but if you want to just have one character, just do your dailies without rest bonus and use your life skills to keep making money. It won’t be as good, but at least your should be able to make an ok build until you reach clown in around 2 months

When deciding on crafting something, remember that you’ll pay 5% of the price for using the market, so have that in mind when deciding what to craft based on the selling price. Also, some items have a really good positive margin, but they are not commonly bought, it’s better to stay at the ones that sells more, like Basic Oreha, Potions, Whirlwind/Dark Grenades, or Pheromone/Destruction/Corrosive Bombs
One last comment about life skills, save your platinum tickets until you have Foraging at Level 30 and search on youtube or google about the route to make the Platinum Field focusing on Foraging, it’s really worth it
