see i always just do first come first serve with an acceptable build for the content required and it’s always worked out fine for me, finishing all gates in roughly an hour or less. unfortunately most randoms are unwilling to do this because they have no clue how to actually clear the content and think 1490 does significantly more damage than 1460.
funny how the gatekeeping groups always end up reforming with new players after a few hours and not progressing past gate 1 or 2.
I’ve never looked for, nor been in a group that cared about roster level for what it’s worth. You won’t catch me picking mokokos ever they lower your DPS.
First make sure your build doesn’t look like some budget beggar build: relic accessory with no wasted stat, 33331 or above engravings (no filler engravings either), good gems and card set.
Then just apply for parties where the host’s ilvl is close or equal to yours. My character is 1485 and I only take those at 1475 and above. People usually don’t want to take anyone significantly weaker to them gearscore wise, so unless you know them you would have virtually no chance of getting in a party with like a 1505 host until you are 1490 or so.
good thing support doesn’t need 12x engraving to raid. blessed aura leg books are 7500+ea on my server and i had one drop from a dispatched yoho mission. There were 9 other books listed at 7500+ and it only took 30mins to sell my copy.
Always look what classes they already have in the group you’re applying to. If there is at least one more, your chances are low, if there are 2, you go to almost 0% chance. A group shouldn’t have more than, max 2 of the same class and also not in the same party.
Another thing, roster lvl, if you have it low, the chances to get accepted are lower ofc.
Then, as DPS people look at your weapon lvl as well, the lower, the lower your chances as well.
If you have problems joining a group, you can always try to form one yourself however Vykas requires quite a bit of team work so it might just be better to join a static (guild/group of friends).
Is this overkill and unnecessary? YES. But it will get you “accepted at Vykas Hard Mode.”
With that said, 1460 4x3 is enough as long as you know the attack patterns/mechs.
Don’t stress too much about getting rejected by the elitist, some of them are 1480+ with no skills to back it up. I’ve been there and seen it myself and I’m only 1460. Already cleared my Vykas HM on 2nd week.
If you know the attack patterns/mechs and can execute the sidereal skills without missing but can’t find any groups because they want 1475+ with 5x3, MAKE YOUR OWN GROUP.
People will join.
Again, don’t stress over these type of things. GL on your HM Vykas run gamers o7
You need a Brain to join. No actually you can not proof that you already have the practice. But people want players that already know the mechanics. Ilvl does not really matter. Engravings should be 4x3
