You are in a group of players that have no idea of the mechanics and they keep doing the same thing over and over, wiping the party 5-10 times and refusing to pass the exit the dungeon request. Is going afk untill they finally pass the vote the only option? Tried to explain them the mechanics all i got was insults. To be more specific it was the first 460 dungeon 2nd boss, they would run away from the first impair check when he gets a shield and leave me alone to do all the impairement while they just keep running and then for the 4 swords mechanics they would again just run away without taking the swords and without attacking, and they did this over and over and over again.
The sword mechanics you have to take them in turn so you have to run away until it’s your turn.
Are you sure you got the mechanics right?
That was pre nerf. Now you can have up to 2 debuffs so you dont wipe instantly.
In his case he should just take it and try to beat the stagger mechanic (use bombs if low ilvl).
Well you got insult because you insulted them first. It goes always that way. So. You can ignore them or be more polite.

You are supposed to be on their side as long as they are willing to progress. Expecting a matchmaking group to immediately know the mechanics is silly.
Now this right here is toxic.
Sometimes you get a group that cannot play, but this is more rare than not. If you start the raid yelling at people if they know mechs then after the first wipe calling them dumb, low IQ, have no idea etc… expect pushback.
One more thing about the mentality going into these things. You did the research and know the fight, when you tell other people the mechanics, you aren’t carrying them…you are giving them the information so that everyone can carry themselves.

Not really, only one player can have an active sword at a time. What AGS did is to give a bigger margin of error.
What happened before was that sometimes swords were too close and a player took 2 swords at a time, which was an automatic wipe.
Now you don’t wipe if accidentally take two swords but you still need to follow the same mechanics. Only one player at a time can have the sword debuff.

And i never found this situation. (i don’t speak only in lost ark… but in close to 20years of MMORPG)
We are less than 1 month after the early access… People discover game, don’t expect party to know the fight or even to understand all their skill… Or do the party yourself, use all tool we have to select people who should know well how to play and the fights (just looking engravings and stats helps a lot to see such things )

in fact all you said is not totally real.
I wiped on this mechanic because we didn’t say order and while sword where not close to others, there were 2 of us doing their sword with less than 2 sec delay => wipe
Touching one sword gives to the 4 player 1 stack of debuff for 2 sec
Before : 2nd stack = death
Now : 2 stack = damages, 3 stack = nerf.

You all came here assuming i did not know the mech, i played in the ru servers and i have beaten this dungeon many times there and here on the global release with main and alts, so yes i understand the mechanics, not only that, they put in the tittle “Know the mechanics” and none of them had any clue, like i said i tried to explain them the mechanics all i got was condescending comments, they didnt care they were just eager to go and die over and over again, i knew there was no hope since they werent even trying to understand what they were doing wrong. I could not do all the impairing all by myself, especially since i had to break the shield from the previous impair since they would just run away.
If you read my post, I assumed you knew it.
If this was a premade group you formed, they should know the mechanics.
If this was matchmaking, you should assume and be ready to tell people the mechanics.
This usually happens when people get defensive. People get defensive when they receive offensive comments.
Things like this lead me to believe it could have gone much better but you never gave it that chance.

It was 460 dungeon. It’s t1. We’re (mostly) still learning… I failed too. Have been playing mmorpgs for years. I know what are mechanics, watched, well tried to learn on youtube and i still made a mistake that wiped us all. No one insulted me. Next time we passed. It’s t1 dude. Not t3. Relax.

Again, you keep making asumptions about me instead of actually giving me a solution for the actual problem wich is the fact that you eventually run into these groups of people that refuse to try to learn and just keep repeating the same thing over and over while refusing to acept the exit submission. They didnt care about my pings or explanations, they would just run to the checkpoint to start the fight again asap.
When after explaining how to properly do mechanics to those who don’t know and they repeat the same mistakes time and time again without improvements, pretty sure most anyone would be frustrated. The worst is when they do not communicate back to you on what they aren’t understanding so you can help them. When there is someone willing to help but the others aren’t willing to receive help, thats the bigger insult imo.
To OP, at that point, there is nothing you can do further. The only thing left to do is help yourself and get out of there. Leave the party or exit out of the game is what I would’ve done.

as said, never had this in close to 20 years of MMORPG, and far from just play with only friends.
While i never had this problem, i can’t say what to do… And due to your message i am more thinking you had a bad way to comunicate with them. And so would only suggest to be polite, patient, with no word which could feel like an attack, insult…
(I saw many “slow learner” or really bad people which… even if they did want to do their best, was far from enough)
Thank you, finally a proper reply, but the issue is that there is no option to leave the dungeon, so i guess closing the game or going afk are the only choices to stop wasting time?
Only if you think this game became a job. Let me ask you one question. Do you play with one character or with more ? People can get frustrated when they have been playing with more because they want resources fast.
Im having a lot of fun, i love the fact that i can have a challenge in the lower tiers with my alts and make no mistakes, i fail raids and dungeons often and that doesnt bother me, what bothers me is being stuck in a group of people that refuses to communicate, take a min and think: “okey what are we doing wrong”. It has happened to me twice so far in this 3 weeks or so since release so it doesnt happen very often but since there is no option to exit the dungeon i wanted a solution for this, i wouldnt mind having a penalty as long as i dont have to be stuck for another 30 mins just dying over and over cuz people refuse to change what they are doing.
I’ve never had a group that didn’t vote to quit when it was clear a death march was taking place, but I suppose the only option is to afk when being held hostage by suicidal people.
Do the same thing as them and waist there time. If your team mate dont pit effort in why should yoube the only one?
