Or players are unintentionally doing a service to stop the spam bots by breaking chat with this lmao
Was wondering why my area chat kept breaking. Always happened after a player posted nothing. Then just sits there with their name and empty message until some thing kickstarts the chat again.
While you’re at it can you investigate the issue of “Normal” chat aka the tab that shows EVERY chat randomly stopping working? It happens like every few minutes by now and only way to RELIABLY “fix” it is to make a new tab with the chat you want in there. Yesterday when doing Argos chat stopped working for someone, good thing we knew this and told them to create “Raid” as a new/seperate tab so they could see the calls.
Unless this is what already is being discussed here? I just saw the big LAILAI screenshot and thought it was a different issue.
So we got HTML injection in chat that could be used to break chat for everyone.
The exact same thing happened in New world too, only difference was that people could crash your complete client. Now we got Lost Ark and here we go again.

And this is why this forum and reddit is full of garbage whiny posts. Because everyone blames AGS on every single thing just because of New World. This is lost ark, not new world. They are publishers, not developers.
Sure, it happened in new world, sure it’s the same issue… Still happens in Russia, where AGS has 0 control/hand at all in it… So it has nothing to do with them.
It comes from KR’s build AKA Smilegate. It’s more than likely something to do with encoding for English/Cyrillic.

I come to the forums to remind myself how happy i am to have a game i enjoy. These complainers are drowning in their own bubbles on here.
I feel like it’s pretty common. This also happened in TERA a long time ago.
The point i was making is that it happened in New world which was released ages ago now
ags fixed it after it happened in new world
You would have thought that it would have been prevented in lost ark
The chat boxes and evberything is the same as in new world, so i assume ags has something to do with that?
You guys are quick to accuse without having a think about the circumstances
i dont hold ags responsible for all the clever people out there that find these loopholes and things out, but i do blame them for not learning from the past (less than a year ago)
