now the game doesn’t even start… will I be able to play until Brelshaza comes out? Or delete it altogether?
12 hours of not being able to play, on my day off, I’ve done ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING I could to be able to play, could anyone tell me if they’re really going to fix this? I have already opened 2 tickets on the Amazon website and will not do it again. Please help us!!!

ok good, you need the one which is October 21. In your case I believe you need to run the installer as administrator to get the new files.
Please go to “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Lost Ark\Binaries\Win64\EasyAntiCheat”
right click EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe and run as administrator → choose Current (game 580) then click repair service - > finish.
after that, please check that file’s timestamp and it should be October 21, please verify.

start → type cmd → right click and open as admin → type sfc /scannow
when it’s done, do the above steps again and let me know please.

That error means you need administrator rights to run the setup. It is possible that you are not “the owner” of the drive or on a user account that is not an administrator or have administrator priviliges.
If you did run the easy anti cheat setup as administrator and repaired the service, it should’ve worked. If not, I can try one last thing with you which is changing the ownership of the drive where lost ark is on and then you can do administrator stuff to it.
I can try that, see if it solves
- Logout of your current user and login with the administrator account
- right click the hard drive where lost ark is installed → properties → security tab → advanced button → owner tab → edit button
- select your user → check the box “replace owner on subcontainers and objects” → apply → ok.
after that you can log out and log back in to your user and do the above to repair easy anti cheat to get the new files.
If you don’t know how to login on the administrator account please tell me, i’ll show you.
didn’t update… it didn’t give an error in the EAC anymore, but the game doesn’t open, it crashes on the Amazon logo. I opened a ticket on the EAC website, I saw that there was a solution for att, but it didn’t work either

They did ruin something today with the weekly maintenance and have confirmed errors for windows 7 and geforce now.
There was a guy that have the same problem as you, he doesn’t have windows 7 or geforce now.
A support agent will follow up on this for sure, so keep an eye, or for an update where they fix the launch problems that happened to people today.
One last thing, there was a thread longtime ago with a similar problem, 2 solutions from people there, give it a shot.
