Which MMO are you going to mainly play in 2023? ** POLL **

There seem to be many players talking about quitting lost ark for Diablo 4 and Blue Protocol mainly. I am curious to know, especially after the last survey.

This is for people who want to switch from Lost Ark to the new MMOs releasing this year. Are you sticking to lost ark or switching for the most part? Let me know what you guys think!

Anyone who votes for Diablo 4 before we fully see the monetization scheme is being very optimistic… is what I would have said if this wasn’t the LA forum

Should make it multichoice hence can’t answer. I’ll be doing raid content on LoA, but if the overall grind and gearing is as good in Diablo 4 without any heinous monetization schemes then the rest of the week I’m gonna be playing that

you have my vote

You can see some of that info here. So far it sounds good.

Imagen switchen from a MMO ARPG to an RPG.

In the end Grind is Grind. :stuck_out_tongue:

Wouldn’t be worse than Lost Ark. It will be p2w probably cheaper, but it will absolutely gut Lost Ark, no game whatsoever can stand head to head collision with diablo 4.

Lost ark can’t compete with 2 hour continents once a year, a new class twice a year you can’t even play because it takes forever to gear up and it’s expensive as hell, and more raid homework that everyone gets burned out. No one’s playing legit to keep up with current inflation.

It won’t be a casino which lost ark is. You’ll get what you paid for in D4.

I will still play LOA.
Because I don’t want to start new MMO.
The moment i drop LOA i am done with mmos for a while. Maybe will come back to BDO to kill some time.

I’m going to try Diablo 4, Palia, ArcheAge II, and Blue Protocol this year to see if I really enjoy any of them. Trying a new game is always fun, so at the very least I’ll get some short-term entertainment for doing so. I also might try Ashes of Creation if there are PVE only worlds since I’m not a fan of open-world PVP.

A bit before Diablo Immortal launched we were all sure you couldn’t buy gear either because they said so, which technically was true, just not what they made all of us expect. So I’ll wait until it’s released and that week 1 patch hits, I’ll see you in D4 then :+1:

Why is it that nobody talks about GrandBlue Fantasy: relink it looks very good no date yet tho but thats the one I’m waiting for

They said they not monetizing aside aestethics which i dont believe, but there is a 0% chanche diablo 4 is gonna be more predatory or pay to win than lost ark.

Even if it s activision, D4 is the one and only title they cant afford to fuck up. Rest can be monetized at will exp mobile
Diablo

That said most play LoA only for lack of better combat/mmo content. Once ff14 gets the graphics overhaul and new titles are out i dont see reasons to stick with 65% of a game made of dailies

Well I do admit I don’t think they will go full LA, it wouldn’t be profitable enough. They have Diablo Immortal and King to drain the whales already.

Diablo Immortal showed that they can be VERY pedantic with their wording, “you can’t buy power” but we’ll let you buy a thing to give you entrance to a place where you get A LOT of that good shit, we are, allegedly, not selling.

Assuming a lot more resources have been invested into D4, thinking they’ll settle with a one time cost and optional cosmetics on the store is naive to a point it is almost sad. Especially with all the talk about how this game will be developed for years to come, blah blah blah

It might just be that the store only sells the premium currency and the premium currency in turn is used somewhere else in the game, then technically, that thing isn’t in the store :man_shrugging:

100% will be Playing Throne and Liberty and Blue Protocol.

stop making things up your asses about this
they said many times super clear that the only paying aspects of the game will be cosmetics, and they even asked by the community IF you could sell those skins for ingame currency (like lost ark) they responded NO

yet still people make up baseless asumption all over the place even when its clear what being said, so no, diablo IV wil not be pay to win

also yes, in diablo immortal you gotta grind for gear just like f2p, there is almost 0 pay to win in PVE, the only p2w you get by spending affects your PVP, sounds better than lost ark isnt it? but still everyone trash DI for being p2w will turning a blind eye towards losr ark which has the worst game design in gaming histroy
(turning blind eye = maxroll wont remove the game guides, no lowest score on metacritic etc…)
