Like the person said above me. I run them every week for the chance at the card. All for the Light of Salvation deck grind. So me and my buddy who are 1340 run them and queue matchmaking.
I welcome any Soulfists in t3 gear to pop into daily chore guardian raids, spirit bombing the shit out of the boss so I don’t need to wonder how long will the boss take this time.
I especially welcome any t3 geared people to pop into certain cockblock bosses like Tytalos, to grant their eternal blessing to let people progress past those fast.
To me it’s not about people deserving a clear, since matchmaking exists. If someone does not “deserve” to clear a guardian raid boss, that person would probably not survive in t3 content either so it probably isn’t that big of a problem as some people may think, letting “noobs” progress to the content that matters.
I guess, it’s kinda unfortunate cause the abyss dungeons were the most fun part when I started out. New players won’t get to experience it now & they’re gonna go into T3 even more blindsided
I just enjoy doing them and the chance to get cards is good.
I dont very often matchmake though.
I’ve queued into low level groups a bunch of times and solo’d the bosses so I understand this sentiment. Maybe they should add hard modes that require 1302 and have higher drop rates on cards or something, then the high tier players would go there instead.
This is true, which is why me and my buddy were talking about just trying to duo them instead of matchmake from now on. We can generally kill the bosses before they can do any meaningful mechanics.
Yep, when you see boss starting to do their mechanic you pop awaking and kill them before they do it.
I suppose the ultimate solution would be forbidding matchmaking for overgeared players to lower tier content.
Only if you queue with premade party, so the boosting friends part can be done.
That would reinforce the positive aspect of making people to learn mechanics, not be turbocarried past them.
For me, not having instakilled bosses would be a minor inconvenience at best, so in this matter I should be the sacrificial lamb.
Can you even enter the dungeons without the requisite number of players?
For me im grateful when i get the random high gs. Not because i need the help but because im probably running on an alt and want to gtfo there as quick as i can lol
Same. But sometimes I would need to weigh the options.
Let high geared people carry others through content so they will not necessarily learn the skills needed in later content, becoming a hindrance to everyone in matchmaking?
Prohibit carrying which at times will suck hard when matchmaking gives you people that are not capable of adapting and learning?
Matchmaking exists, thus it should be possible to clear all content with it.
But it also doesn’t help if it actively can hinder learning when you luck out with godlike geared people.
Hard bosses are hard. Then there’s Tytalos the PuG destroyer. He feeds on your tears.
New players might just outright quit if they get carried through T1-2 then get frustrated when they can’t complete T3 content because they don’t understand how fights or battle items work & get trashed talked for it. You already see a lot of issues in guardians with players not knowing how to stagger, counter, destruction, etc.
I’ve been playing since early access and phantom palace for example took us multiple attempts to clear but by the end, I knew how to stagger and what whirlwind grenades did. You could argue that they can just learn in T3 but the issue with that is there are alot of mechanics in T3 that will wipe the entire party if a player doesn’t understand those basic functions so I dunno. Might be bad for the overall health of the game, we’ll just have to wait and see.
Cards, if im are low than 1370 have a chance to get epic books to sell in AH and gold too, the question is why not to do?
Just build up a custom group with players on your ilvl.
For gold and helping other players in lower tier
Used to be challenging… Not anymore after nerf
I think its bs. Dungeons should be ilvl locked. Why? Coz we already have heavy alt based gameplay, so it shouldnt be an issue to make that every tier matters endgame (doing diferent tiers for various endgame items, unique for that certain tier etc.). It could come with better roster rewards tho. I always hated that pre-endgame content become braindead faceroll, instead of viable and fair challenge.
Korean players start at tier3. Mechanics can be learned there and are.
Imagine this: Maybe they have actually fun playing the game?
