Exactly, and while I didn’t clarify the part about roster bound materials (boxes like T1/T2 islands /event boxes) the points still, there are only two types of material, bound and tradable, there is no such thing as ‘all materials are tradable’, that’s why someone above said to open your boxes only(amount) when needed so you don’t end up wasting materials
If they wanna keep Character bound honing materials. Then the solution would be that you can convert excess bound lower tier mats to higher. They are currently wortheless
Like convert harmony shards > life shards > honor shards
Harmony leapstone > life leapstones > honor leapstone
etc
Just please let honing materials be roster bound. It just hurts to see 2500 destruction stones, harmony and life leapstones in the hundreds and shards in thousands rot in my storage when hungry alts are so eager to get their hands on them. Even if it was with a minor penalty.
Basically anything else than those mats being character bound as they are now.

Only one reason due to locked mats I can think of is SG actually seriously think someone would pay for mats for alts. Im curious if that ever happened, it would be such a waste of money. Besides that I cant find any valid reason why its character bound.
Most of the Time when there is a “feature” that is hindering the players without having a clear benefit behind it, its because its a means to generate income by creating inconvenience and selling you the solution.
“Oh you need more Life Leapstones for your Alt and you have 700 laying around on your Main ?”

Rarely ever has there been a good reason as to why Upgrade Materials shouldnt just be outright Roster Bound.
Theres no deeper meaning.
People sometimes pay for materials for alts but only because it is so cheap (you can buy 10 weapon crystals for less than 1 gold in Korea, all the weapon/armor stones in the current Naruni shop would cost less than 100g in Korea if you added it all up over 4 weeks). At this point most people have stockpiles of tens of thousands if not more of various T3 crystals. The best reason I can think of for having character bound materials is so you can’t abuse once per character sources such as doing towers on alts or first time clear bonuses for dungeons.
What are you trying to get their attention for? Its already been said that we have the exact same system as the other regions.

Character bound materials are to disincentivize you from farming t1 and t2 leapstones in order to power level new characters gear. This is specifically so they can generate additional revenue from mari shop when a new class launches.

What about grenades and HP potions? Are those also roster bound? Having to carefully hoard battle item chests in roster storage because everything is character bound once the chest is opened is a pain in the butt.
Why would there be news? Our version is working the same as RU/KR, OP was misinformed.

They’ve never been tradeable outside of a few that are unbound. Most materials are bound materials to your character, not roster bound.
Most materials are actually tradeable, even in our version. It’s the stuff from vendors and islands that’s non-tradeable. Which as far as I know is the case everywhere else too.
Yeah, Im more getting to the point that bound materials arent roster bound in other regions, and never have been
I guess what I don’t understand is why are we playing on an older version of the game? I get they want to release content to us to milk it, but at least give us these QOL changes right out of the gate. There are sooooooooooo many QOL changes KR/RU have that NA/EU doesn’t have that we SHOULD have had at launch.

So much mats just sitting in my storage doing nothing, just feels wasted. Especially when you have several alts. Make them roster wide, but not tradable in the market.
