Why are we treating this version like a Global Lost ark

Most of us got no issue sharing our toys. Why have you?

KKonaW not in my country. Get the fuck out of here just say you’re a hillbilly idiot and move on.

Meanwhile every bot user with above 1 iq (i.e not AGS) adds 8.8.8.8 or 14.14.14.14 to last DNS hop on VPN and are back in game

Bots don’t care about ping to some degree, just connection, guess the genius who thought of VPN BAN didn’t think of such simple DNS routing

What’s next for AGS ? Closing servers so you definitely have no bots?

Sounds like you need a good sit down in the grass with a Zinger box and a bit of a chill

They don’t require you to welcome them. Although they should stop being toxic (if they indeed are being toxic) but thats a separate issue.

If you’re running around acting like you own NA because your american, then its no surprise you think people are being toxic. The issue is likely your attitude and not theirs.

That’s true we don’t own the NA Servers and anyone can use them if they’d like but don’t complain about not being able to use a VPN. It’s banned in Amazons ToS and they have the right to enforce it.

They are totally allowed to complain as much as they wish, just like you’re free to complain about them complaining.

We kind of drifting away from the original topic - and as that has been shown to be a false assumption from Official posts concerning rights bought to community managers posting about unofficial servers.

Lets move on from this dead horse. See you in another off-topic thread soon!

There is a whole area below NA that is called SA that has a server too idk why you guys talk like if it doesn’t exist but it’s there and it’s not exactly a little island…

You may want to add the SA there It’s NA/EU/SA version and just having those outside kr make it a global realease… I mean i know what you want to say but at least try to make sense…

Yeah but he is just counting the regions with servers so it may be hard for him to count the regions that have bought the rights to have LA on their steam regions despite not having server so i’m trying to go really slow for him

Where was I claiming a server for any one country or region?

(I’ll give you a hint, I wasn’t.)

To clarify: AGS has publishing rights to ~35 countries. So ~35 countries’ worth of population should be able to access the servers available on the steam client. Thanks.

Preach!

Classic entitled americans

Please don’t lump us all together. Some of us aren’t as much of a douche canoe as others who would like to think this launch is for NA/EU only.

I enjoy having the Aussies (and others) on the NA-West servers, for as long as they’ll stay.

as expected from an american who sees this as the “NA/EU” server rather than the NA/EU/SA server

I’m looking for any sort of official announcement or branding that designates this as specifically NA/EU LAUNCH. What I see is the launch of NA, EU, and SA regions, of which ~35 countries are allowed access due to AGS/Smilegate’s ability to secure publishing rights. This means that of those ~35 countries, they will have to play on one of the NA, EU, or SA servers. It does not make them region-exclusive. Which means any country with access granted via publishing rights has access to those servers. I am in US, I’m not barred from playing on EU servers. Someone in Brazil is not barred from playing on NA-West.

This literally bothered nobody until the VPN issue came to light.

nah its been bothersome all we see is OCE player complaining left right and center tired of em glad they have to deal with bad ping hopefully that ll make em quit

While I do agree with you on the aspect of banning the bots, currently I work in a completely different region for US work (I’ve been moved a multitude of different countries respectively, pushing that aside I would rather say they incorporate a 2FA side of the game in the aspect of If you own an amazon account input a code that you get from either your phone or authentication app, so that that would fix the bot issue altogether.)

Now this is an issue I can speak to.

When I was a kid I lived in China for 4 years, right when Diablo II and Diablo II LOD were released. For obvious censorship reasons, we had to buy… less dubious copies of the game from the streets. Meaning we couldn’t play online. That’s kinda been resolved due to some political changes, but, I can imagine it would suck if you were out of country for a few months/years and couldn’t use a VPN to play in your home country where you permanently reside and plan to return to.

All I see are tons of use cases where VPN would benefit legit players while literal multiboxing bot groups are farming mobs in Punika alongside my alt trying to get through the questline.
