Is it even possible to do P3 in a full lobby of 1370s? Something tells me it is not. So it is basically the same thing as field bosses where you can die 5 times, finally squeeze in some 2k damage and get rewards. But it is understandable with field bosses since the rewards are not as good and you still don’t get full rewards if you are below recommended iLvL. But what’s up with Argos? It looks like a direction from the developers - “Do bus, we allow, we incentivize”.

i don’t see a reason it should be ilvl gated, there’s no harm in it and honestly it helps being able to get people out of the 1370 area faster on their alts allowing busses for it. plus classes like paladin and bard are still incredibly useful and don’t die to p3 at 1370.

primarily because busing is bad for the game long term.
busing creates inflation, a 1370 character isnt meant too create 2700 gold from argos. the gold you spend honing to 1400 helps offset some of the gold you start to generate. (not for long when the 1415 honing buff comes, but you get the idea)
more inflation is not a good thing. because at some point its going to kick new players in the dick. (yes inflation is inevitable, but you dont want too rush it. its coming weather we want it or not.)
the way it basically works is. inflation is caused by X+1 and anyone that doesnt have X+1 are heavily impacted by it.
aka if you dont have enough alts at a certain ilvl you will feel like you make no gold. busing makes this alot cheaper because people dont have to invest into honing (for argos) or gems/accessories. (all but the honing part is true for valtan as well)
it being cheaper sounds great until you realize it means less gold is being deleted and removed from the game. people arnt spending gold on pheons, they arnt buying mats or even just tapping gear with bound mats. so less gold is being removed but alot more gold is being added.
which results in inflation like you have never seen. what we had at launch is nothing compared to the shit storm that is coming our way.
but isnt bussing from clown and brels is pretty impossible? bussing is only possible until vykas as far as i know
Bus for Vykas HM exists. They only skip Gate 1 HM (also do in NM).

To answer your question. Argos was designed the way it is and after the legion raids came out they just never went back to change it. Likely because it was old content.
This is so dumb. You can only bus argos this way everywhere else the gold just changes owners so it’s really not bussing in general just argos and even then I’m pretty sure it’s actual effect on the market is like 1% or 2% max.
