Right, they are just the ones I saw the most, but there are a few other ones. The skins are skirts so it makes sense that the bottom part is underwear

Seems like there’s not much they need to change if that’s the case. People probably don’t have much to worry about then.
The character is still gonna look like the character (hopefully lul) but I think it’s reasonable to not like them changing stuff. People were just as upset in beta about the other westernization in the game, it’s just they probably quit or gave up talking about it as time went by. The people that care are gonna quit and the complaints are gonna die down a bit, but they kinda shot themselves in the foot by making it a 4 month long wait after announcing them.
It’s like the month long threads about sexy skins before any was talked about/added to the game.
Maybe they will just add that model on every single lower part skin and call it a day
The changes on the beta are stupid, ppl making a big deal out of that, i told everyone “No one in this game go walking around without armor equipped” but everyone refused to believe me and here we are, all those changes they made are meaningless since literally no one go around with armor equipped lol

Not just that, the whole npc thing and marketing armor changes, there were a lot of threads about those things with like cm replies but they never came back after release, just mentioned once or twice in other posts.
If I was around back then I would have prob been annoyed too. Only good thing is that game took like 8 years to come out and I didn’t even know it was releasing so I only heard about it in February.
Yeah all those are stupid changes that no one asked for and no one needed i agree, but they are not big deal, no one cares if jederico is black or white lol, people were overreacting back then and they are overreacting today, that’s what the word “censorshop” do to people…
The real problem here are the DC’s, bots and the class release cadence (drip feed) that AGS is doing.
tldr: I don’t care about the censorship i just think its stupid and we are fighting for the wrong things, we should all be asking for faster class release cadence, better CMS, better game.

Yeah I mean ideally you’d want a game that runs properly (like other regions) and is also free of bullshit, but it doesn’t look like we’re given a lot of options
Yeah, i just hate that our only CM don’t really know about the game thats why there are a lot of miscommunications cuz our CM’s don’t know what we are asking for and they can’t explain it to SG.

It’s not actually about being black or white, the char coulda been purple for all most people care.
But the thing I think that resonates with most ppl (at least those who don’t like the changes), is because we wanted/expected KR version. We just didn’t want stuff to be changed, which ofc you mentioned.
It’s also, when u play game through on other servers and then see the difference on ours, it takes away from the authenticity of the game (and in some areas the lore).
E.g the SH form is completely unreasonable and just a racially biased change, because demons in Lost ark are white with white hair, That’s just how demons are represented in the game. But changing that is directly breaking the lore of the game for a change soley based on racial inclusion IRL politics. Why should Real world politics apply in a fantasy world, where nothing is real.
There wouldn’t be a problem to me, if in the lore demons where white and black, but they simply aren’t. Now sure, it’s like “So what is the big deal anyway”… but there kinda isn’t one, but there also is.
Because the lore does matter to people. It changes the perspective/dimension of the story to people, and it simply just takes away the authenticity of the game.
I think another example would be like, 2B from nier. If she randomly became a black girl with blonde hair in a “western” version, she is not 2B anymore. Her whole theme, and the rest of them, are built around white hair, white skin etc. Another example I have is naruto, his trademark yellow hair. Changing that, even if you keep skin color the same, takes away from the theme of the character. Changing Ichigos hair from orange to black in Bleach, would make him less like ichigo. But these things are like this because you are already know “Oh 2B is short bob white hair, with pale skin”, “Naruto is yellow hair”. That’s where the loss of authenticity comes from the original design.
Ppl say appearance doesn’t matter, but that is kinda a lie. Appearance plays massively into the whole character/themes, and often because these are works of fiction, there is no racial prejudice behind the initial design. They are simply the way they are because that’s the way the creators envisioned their characters
Like vampires, even in the west, are traditionally/by lore, pale white with black hair and fangs. If you suddenly turn them into a purple human with horns, they aren’t really a vampire anymore.
So ye I don’t think it’s an overraction because these themes are based on fantasy imagination. There should be no real need to change any of it.
If we were playing a work of fact, based in IRL stuff, lets say a medieval game that was historically accurate, I would expect accurate representation.
But some/quite a few of these changes are simply uncessary for any other reason than pushing political agendas that only exist in the real world, and not a fantasy one.
We all play games because we enjoy them/nice escape from reality, you don’t really wanna see real world politics pushed into a video game where its all fantasy.
That’s most frustrating thing to me. How it breaks the lore/authenticity of the game, and pushes political agendas. I would descirbe it as a subtle form of propoganda, well, that’s essentially what westernization and censorship is. In this case a subtle form of propoganda to perptuate ideologies that exist soley in the west.
Edit: I do agree particuarly though, There is bigger priorities for LA west RN than censorship/westernization. Fix the fucking game already.
Whether Artist censored or not, SH form change or not. I can’t play/take this game srsly atm when I spend more time LFP + dcing, than I do actually playing.

Indeed, time and resources should be put on things that really matters. Like that Elephant in the Room called EAC Offline.
The point is, even if some people are doing that it isn’t a good reason for censorship. “Some people” get off on animals, should zoos be shut down, should people not be allowed to own pets because of the vast minority who take something to the extreme? What about shoe shops, there are people out there who get off on shoes, should they be shut down?
If you find the sight of a game character in a bikini or skimpy clothing “sexy” that’s on you. What people find sexy or titillating is very subjective and banning/censoring something on the chance of that happening would end very badly for everyone because there doesn’t seem to be limit on what people can find sexy. Google rule 34 if you’re ever bored

I never suggested people can’t dislike the changes be made. I think that’s a hard judgement to make when we literally haven’t seen what the modified skins even look like, but some people like to pre-order their anger.
If the zoo allowed anyone to dress up the animals and put them in compromising positions and then post it to the internet and say look what the zoo is doing then I think they would likely have some different restrictions on it.

No, I said its okay for the company providing the service to limit how its used in the context its being released. They don’t have to be the providers of all things free speech in their environment.
You are mistaking this situation for one where you have rights and some ability of control over the environment. The only control you have here is to leave it. You are not required to consume this content and AGS is not required to provide it the way you want it.
In your comparison you’re advocating the removal of any means for the minority to sexualize and exhibit that sexualization
No-one is arguing about who’s in control, we’re all fully aware AGS and SG hold all the cards, this is a discussion about what should be done. Coming out with a “if you don’t like it don’t play it” does literally nothing for the discussion
