probably because f2p are just as important as the whales. but thats a whole other conversation and subject
I’m not F2P and I still feel this isn’t a good changes.
If anything make the boss doesn’t scale then perhaps it will make sense.
Good luck trying to convince anyone with that argument.
Its an opportunity cost if you want to login every time the island spawns to get extra leapstones. Just switch the una if you don’t want to spend that cost.
Good change bad change, its literally abysmal.
I’m on the same boat, which seems like you still dont understand, but I also understand why the change was implemented and am still willing to do the Una on the characters I want the extra leapstones on.
Again, nobody is punishing you, there are benefits to the change, and there are negatives to the change. If you really aren’t able to adapt your optimization and feel as if this breaks your experience, then im sorry to tell you its not the change itself but something else.
If I was this “optimized” in my gameplay, then the extra minutes SURELY won’t fundamentally change how I experience the game, or the choices I have to optimize my gameplay.
Yeah, but those rewards doesnt affect negatively incomparison to alakkir where you have people doing the island for souls and secret map. Hypno island you can get the soul and do una’s task without affecting anyone. The new players who wanted to get alakkir soul or secret map keep seeing all these players leave and have himself only to solo the boss that takes more than the needed time to beat the boss in a group will affect new players negatively. While the T3 players are there to do just the una’s task for measly 1 extra leap stone incomparison to other una’s task seems less a problem.
Making the boss scale is a not bad idea, but that will have to depend on their code.
Also alakkir isnt meant to be played by just doing una’s task and leave.
You guys just need to be honest and stop trying to pretend that Alakkir was meant to be played this way. It never was. There’s a chicken boss for a reason and it’s not meant to be skipped.
“Oh noes im forced to play for 5 minutes”
I wonder if it was originally released like this, would they still choose to do the una at all. We were getting extra rewards at no extra cost (if you really wanna count the DREADFUL Bifrost oh nooo).
Not like sailing there takes a minute
Of course they would. Because the most important thing to them are the leapstones. In fact, I would say that the original una daily was an oversight by the devs. It should have always included the king, and they have only corrected it today.
But now it does negatively affect people doing 6 characters with that Una’s task is it not?
While I understand new players having to be left to solo that boss, which is bad, the overall changes also do not help with current player time. 1 Greater Honor Leap stone may not be much, but it is a lot if you do have multiple alts.
I have proposed to the OP to stack the island Epona into two days to solve his dilemma, but still, the least they can do is making it so that the boss at least die faster or making this island spawn every 30 minutes - 1 hour.
Never really did it more than once a day anyways and still don’t have the island token.
It’s not that great for alts unless you somehow have nothing else to do. On my 7 characters I’d rather just spam 4 Leapstone x3 or the Pirate one x5 and move on with the dump truck of other chores.
Haven’t played past few days cuz it’s (chores x number of alts) and gets worse and worse.
Sure. But if you are choosing to play 6 characters, the effect is exponentially reduced. If you have 6 characters right now earning GHL, the investment in the characters themselves weighs more than an una that you can choose to do.
cause if you don’t have to work for your una dailies they can’t sell those completion tickets
…Which is why they provide a daily for it. If there was a point to going back to the island, they wouldn’t need the daily.
Giving players incentives to revisit old content so new players don’t live in a ghost town is like modern MMO design 101.
That’s the thing - if people want to maximize what they have, 1 greater leap across 6 is essentially saving them 6 x 125g = 725g a day.
Right now it is not worth the time for sure, and it also locked behind the timer of the island itself. I don’t really mind if they changed it to kill the boss, but make it appear like 1 hour or every 30 minutes would make more sense.
I would agree with this. I think the Alakkir spawn times could be adjusted to have it spawn more frequently each day.
Sure, thats a change I can stand behind. But I’m only writing here because 1) OP is deluded and 2) he is being over the top in generalizing a population and melodramatic response instead of actual insight.
Edit. Just because I agree that now I won’t be as fast or “optimized,” doesn’t mean I wont call out the BS thats written in and as a defense for the post. Which seemingly he can’t wrap his head around.
I agree he is being over the top with his arguments and doesn’t really provide any insights to his side of things or solutions that would work for both sides.
thats interesting. I thought I provided the solution of a boss that scaled its health based on the amount of players which you yourself agreed with. lmfao
