Why disable VPN?

I was using VPN to solve the error: “Cannot Connect to the server. Exiting the game. G0x9-SPELPWP1P2NT”.

So you can see: I’m wasting around 5 dollars month to play the game.

Even with my effort, all Smilegate/Amazon can do is disable VPN in the game? Please, can you give me any other alternative to play the game?
