Why Doesn't Vykas Indicate Who Messed up Typing

this isnt actually accurate at all. most people would mean 5/8 people in a pug. Having pugged a bunch, I would say 50% of the time, you get 1-2 people.

so its definitely not most people.

And even in these cases, the game has a lot of different systems in place, many people put forth effort in different ways. Some people put more effort into execustion, others into gearing, others into cards etc. Its really unlikely at this point some one is in vykas who hasn’t spent a massive amount of effort improving their character.

the reality is some players are newer/don’t have as much experience as others. The game only let’s you practice the fight through failing a lot. Its been out for like 2 weeks.

I don’t have an official answer for this but I’m pretty sure nothing good can come from someone being highlighted when they make a mistake. I know I’d already be sweating enough lol

It does tell you how many people messed up.
If there are more than 4, it’s a party wipe.

I mean I’ve done probably 50 runs through typing, 100 attempts at it, all of my fails are after the first 20. It happens. There aren’t many fails because I’m solid at typing, but I understand there are people who aren’t. And it takes like 2 minutes to get back there, it is needless toxicity.

then dont mess up

I Remember running m+ with a hunter from my guild who had a Fail auto report. Bascially it would report all the avoidable damage at the end of the instance for everyone. So if you got hit by avoidable damage then it would tally it up and rank everyone.

Man did i really try hard not to get hit by anything. This sort of things makes people attempt to try. I really like the addon, nobody was negative about it but it really showed the person what they needed to work on.

Exactly. Our Classic guild would actively follow DPS meters and server-wide parces on raids which motivated players a lot to bring all the consumables and minmax things which in turn made our core raid group so strong that all the raids were smooth sailing and everyone was having fun just talking poop on Discord while everything was going on. But nobody was pressured or pointed at when no DPS really happened as we even had a Retribution Paladin in our raid who in some bosses would do barely more damage than our main tank :joy: and we had many other “meme specs” but rather than laugh and mock these builds (which we obviously did with good spirit and consent from these players who mocked and meme’d their own builds too more than anyone else) we thought that it was awesome to have these different types of builds in the raid and to see how they did compared to others

Straight up it was a god damn pain to reprogram my brain that this isnt “writing”, but "game commands.

Hopefully this wouldnt lead to even more typos when writing! then I’ll sue then! :upside_down_face:

i believe failing every single time and being silent about it is worse than pointing fingers

these people just want to get carried and if they cant press qweasd properly even once then how do they pilot their characters?

Cuz this is the fked-up dev GoldRiver who wanted ppl to carry those trash players in case they’re left behind, thus making as many players as possible, which means more revenue. No show on mistakes, no show on dps/damage, no kick-out mech for afkers, it’s just trash.
In this way. the game forces every good player to form static team, if not, then leave.
In a word, its just money/business, not abt “toxic”.

With your post you show us how toxic this comunity is . DPS meter and mistakes information will transform this game from a good one to terrible one. It’s a game not a work. People need to have fun in their free time and not to be stressed. Is it so hard to understand it. Why most of you are so entitled for just one hobby!!! Be entitled in your job.

yes i do have fun clearing content… not carrying deadweights(unless im conciuysly doing so ). yes mistakes can happen but being unable to identify person who consitently fail every single time give less room for mistakes

Yeah i hate knowing why im failing at something, aimlessly attempting content and dying to the same thing over and over without an idea of why its going wrong is a great feeling, that totally helps me improve as a player and in life, glad everything else in life also works this way and this is not infact a totally delusional mindset some people have regarding videogames

Do you realise after one mistake what the other pugs will do:

  1. Yelling on you - noob, go f…k yourself, l2p idiot etc
  2. Kick you off from the group

Is this for you fun??? If i make the same mistake twice i usually ask the other or go and watch guide. But someone to call me noob, l2p etc sorry but it’s a game. With the entitled and spoiled kids and so called elitists in this game this meters will bring more toxicity and i am glad SG realise that.

Yeah getting called a noob by a random person that you can mute in a game that is on a stationary pc screen in a chat that i can minimize is truly traumatic.

Number 1 generally doesnt happen after 1 single wipe, if its challenging progression content, it always depends on the group setting you get yourself into.
Number 2 should, depending on the expectation of the group that you got yourself into, absolutely happen, if they want you to play clean and make 0 mistakes, they can kick you after 1. I think thats a bit much, but so do many other groups, which is why barely any group actually does that. If that is such a problem, make your own group. You absolutely have the choice of who you play with, but if certain things are hidden, it makes it a bit hard to make intelligent decisions, and as someone who usually makes their own groups, im all for any form of information that helps me get rid of people i dont want to play with, the reason doesnt rly matter in this case.

cuz you don’t need to know it doesn’t matter

Just censor vyka’s boobs and everyone can pass.

Or better yet.

Put setos face on vykas boobies.

As a raid leader it’s supremely frustrating to not get game feedback on how the group is doing. I shouldn’t have to ask who’s failing 9/10 times. I should know so I can direct that person to the resources they need to get better.

Umm, no? Your “correction” isn’t proper English lol.

A proper one would be, “Why does Vykas not indicate who messed up her typing mechanic?” as an example.
