Why I refuse to make the switch to EU West

they cannot do the character transfert , it doesn’t exist yet.

Server transfer functionality does not yet exist for Lost Ark, unfortunately it isn’t a possible solution.

LIE

“to develop” definition

And btw, the actual structure of the game is so server transfer friendly ( ofc speaking of the same region) that is really clear they are not doing it cause moneyyyy

Literally everything matter is server Wide xddd

lost ark have 1.6 million funder packs , plus 14 millions of f2p players.
so the game has 15.6 Millions on their servers … so servers saturated.

What are these numbers??? Xddd u can literally see player base count on steam.db

15 millions xddddddd

Total players don’t saturate a server xddddd

Actual online players do.

1/2 of peak player base and major eu servers are already full. A disaster

In my server it has a queue of 24k every day since 2 weeks .(trixion server) I don’t talk about the others loll

AND THIS IS THE PROBLEM the top major servers have all 15-20k queue while the others don’t have any. This is not normal and will led a lot of servers to a slow death

not the right thinking, AGS host and setup and manage all the servers and the game and it’s databases.

So the fault is with Amazon not setting the hosts up right, they didn’t even make language specific servers (again) demonstrating (again) amateur incompetence at the design level.

The problem Amazon faces now? There getting called out on some stuff that doesn’t add up and the community already has an air of distrust floating around.

So Amazons way to fix that? Say less and less, which screams louder than actual communicating, but it does allow the white knights to preach zealot like love and praise and this achieves splitting the community.

Now Acti Blizz were masters at this, look at their forums? Literally a cesspool of unfathomable proportion’s.

however, the players were too busy fighting each other to notice Blizzard and the state of the game until, well… Billions of taken dollars later.

I m not going to wait 4 hours every day just to connect on this game.
for me is over like new world. They have the players but they cannot deliver the content.
it’s sad for this game. they should let the korean company to manage the servers because
they are good at it is their game.

I’ll gladly answer that question.
During the headstart all EU Central servers had queues… EU West did not exist.
Therefor switching servers to another server with the same queues would make no sense.

If they are hosting it, that means they are responsible for the quality of their servers, wouldn’t you agree?
This is not a development issue, this is a server quality issue.

I want to add. That in two-three month player base will decrease and so you risking end up on not “so full” server as it was before. So there is even now fear to move to EUW and end up more or less alone.
And since how AGS handled this problem so far, no need to be a prophet to predict what is waiting for you in this case.

P.S.
Not to mention all my mokoko seeds and adventurer tome with twitch drop pets and celebration mount.

that is not true at all

yes every server had Q´s but some were more minor.

I switched von Asta to Slen right after the Headstart. Asta Q was around 18k and Slen between 6-8k. The week after that, Slen was around 4k at 6 pm

minor 4k how many hours you wait to enter in the game?

the first day with 8k around 1,5 hours. 4k = 40min - 1hr

When you are in a headstart as players that purchased a founder’s pack (which AGS must know how many of them they sold) and you are facing queues on all the available servers already in your own region, it doesnt make sense to hop to another server with a slightly smaller queue.

Back then our way of thinking (or at least mine) was “I’m sure AGS is aware of the crazy queues we are facing during the headstart and will do something to ‘fix’ this before the game launches, either providing more servers, transfers or whatever necessary”

I trusted in the capability of AGS to solve the issues that were present PRIOR to the official launch. Unfortunately this trust was misplaced and all we got to hear is that they can’t add any more servers to the EU Central region so their only option was to add a seperate region for us to start fresh, losing all progress we made so far not only on characters, but on our roster levels as well.

On top of that you have to keep in mind many servers we had during the headstart were dominated by specific languages.

As you can see on this spreadsheet, which was gathered pre-headstart to help us pick our servers there were only 4 servers that were primarily english (Zinnervale, Thirain, Kadan and Slen) (Lost Ark Guild / Community Directory - Google Drive)
Zinnervale and Kadan were the obvious big English servers, and Slen / Thirain were the smaller ones based on which established communities/personalities were going to play on those servers.

As someone that speaks only Dutch/English, you wouldn’t want to be established on a server where everyone is gonna be talking Spanish.

Yeah, I thought New World taught them something, since they kind of new to MMORPG stuff. But seems not. There is still many people who misplaced “open and honest with community when possible” with “lying and ignoring the community when possible”.
It sound harsh, sure it is. But they shouldn’t start the circle of lie and mistrust in first place.

This is very true.
I’m pretty sure the EU playerbase wouldn’t be half as mad at them if they were open and honest about the problems they are facing and just admit they dont know how to fix it short-term.
At least, I know I would be understanding.
But the fact they were spreading misinformation and harmed our trust in them is ‘kicking themselves in the balls’ so to speak.

I hoped they had learned from the New World disaster as well, but it soon became clear that Lost Ark is just going through the same cycle.
